Their old songs had such variety (pwf, whiste, stay, aiiyl) but now all their titles have been playing it safe and going with party choruses, it’s getting them views so why not, but it feels less and less connected to blackpink and more like a formula for success

Since the song title is Teddy Bear, I think the lyrics would be about a break up and the teddy bear is the person that they were with. Maybe with lyrics like "I don't wanna play with you no more."

z m For real I’m so sad for the girls, we saw many groups debut in 2016, I will take NCT for example since they are also from the Big 3. They have dozens of sounds release and were able to experience so much style of music and choreography even if you take just one unit. 127 did ballad, rap, EDM, cute etc...
They are both super popular group and I can’t even imagine where Blackpink would be if they were given the same opportunity, some masterpieces would have been release and they would be even more successful, the girls could do different concepts and we would see all sides of them on scene. They are just wasting these girls talent for no reason (imagine the profit that they could make ?? Like YG, since your a company, why ?? I’m not a blink and isn’t even really fan of their music but they still deserve so so much better 😞

KAACHI’s “Photo Magic” sounds like a Blackpink song but high pitched. To be specific, it sounds like ddu du ddu du. a little while ago i tried substituting KAACHI’s vocals for BP’s, they line up perfectly and sound extremely similar. there honestly is a “Blackpink formula.”

@Jisoo Is A Queen Periodt making, producing is so difficult, it takes years of work to be a good producer. You need dedication and passion to make good music, convey the feel. For now, bp members haven't really shown interest in that.((correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any of them know how to produce)). Writing, composing, producing... those are complicated craft that takes so much to master, years of trial and error. If maybe they are learning now, they will put out a self made song someday... The time will show us.

Ooh, I like that title "Teddy Bear"! I think it fits well because the pre-chorus and bridge sounds more innocent, but then they hit you with that Ddu-du-- I mean, they hit hard with that bass drop.

it's kinda sad how accurate this is. most of the bp songs that got fame were pretty repetitive. the only thing that covered that up were the girls. YG has such talented ladies but in every comeback, it feels like he refuses to see that they can do more.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. I like blackpinks title song style and if i want something more different I'll listen to the b-sides (which i would like to be a bit more experimental)

Red Hiding Hood, the last few title tracks (although hylt is a pre release), is more of power songs but they aren’t catchy. I would say their first few tracks can be repetitive but they were amazing. Kill this love was too much for me, and it was more of just to say “I don’t need you anymore, I’m better.” That’s basically the only message, and you can’t really bop to them as much. Well, my problem is mainly with kill this love (and their b-sides that follow the same like the second part of forever young was weird to me, and See U Later.) The adlibs can be unnecessary too. I wished teddy would experiment, perhaps something like clc’s black dress.
I feel like they don’t even need to change anything. Their songs are already amazing.
