Hey Do you know how to adjust the hammers and make sure they don't double hit? According to Howard Miller perfect resting spot is 1/8 inch away from the rod. Basically you have to bend it in either direction and make sure all the hammers are bent. Just a bit back can solve that issue. I noticed when the Quarter chimes were playing the rods started double hitting and that creates an issue with the tone. You want to do this with all 8 hammers and also contact me on Instagram for further info.
I have an old Enfield clock that does this and like in this one its more than double hit I guess it bounces but one thing it sure takes away the nice resonance of the rod the hammer bounces on.
Lovely
