You are right, the Bible stands on modesty.The Bible discourages wearing exoensive apparell,braided hair,gold jeweley.I used to adorn myself that way,I stopped way before I heated those who speak against it.With makeup,and mind you I used expensive make up,spending a lot of money on it,the Holy Spirit confronted me one day,that the money I spent on it can I give it in church,I got stopped in my travk,I realisef I had not and never thought of it,this was around 2018/2019. I realised that makeup had become an idol to me,that day I stopped till today.As for weaves,because I stopped wearing make up but continued with weaves.This happened this year 2024,we were celebrating my biryhdah so I bought an Afro weave I wanted to put on,however my Spirit said No,I could not,thatd jow I stopped weaves. But saints please balance me, when we start saying it's for us, it's for me, what does that mean because Paul's epistles were for the Corinthians, Romans, Galatians etc I understand if you say the Bible is the standard for us no problem. You are right, the Bible stands on modesty.The Bible discourages wearing exoensive apparell,braided hair,gold jeweley.I used to adorn myself that way,I stopped way before I heated those who speak against it.With makeup,and mind you I used expensive make up,spending a lot of money on it,the Holy Spirit confronted me one day,that the money I spent on it can I give it in church,I got stopped in my travk,I realisef I had not and never thought of it,this was around 2018/2019. I realised that makeup had become an idol to me,that day I stopped till today.As for weaves,because I stopped wearing make up but continued with weaves.This happened this year 2024,we were celebrating my biryhdah so I bought an Afro weave I wanted to put on,however my Spirit said No,I could not,thatd jow I stopped weaves. Its sad,may the Lord have mercy on us.

This is just for scripture reference but you can go read the whole chapter, or the whole book of Ezekiel, God wasn't friendly at all. Some prophets came speaking what's contrary to Ezekiel speaking "peace" like we see in verse 10, some of them died. But the point I'm trying to drive home is it's possible for God to be harsh. If you study the books of the prophets very well, that's what was happening. Also it's possible for the world to do majority of the things wrong like in the days of Noah were God saved only 8 people.
