    Excellent work Ian, as always. I will stick with plastic and resin, but I agree, there is a place for 3D products. After seeing this I may pick up Borders kit on this variant.

    I love any vehicle on a Panzer 38 Chassis,and I also live What ifs,as I have made an E-75,E-100,Jagdtiger II,so I loved watching this video.Amazing work Ian and that camo looks great on a Hetzer(made a similar winter camo on a Hetzer around a week ago)Can’t wait for the sturmtiger!

    A good work with a great result, Ian. A cool, unusual vehicle with this turret on this chassis. A model with unique selling point!
    Best wishes and a nice weekend. Joachim

    Awesome result! Really cool to see you print your own model! I'm also printing a model at the moment with my 3D printer, its my first try so wish me luck!

    Thanks for posting CW. Seeing how far 3D printing has come on is very impressive.
    Just ordered the Takom version of this model to make sometime in the future so loved seeing this printed before my eyes.
    Wont be too many years before injection moulding becomes a dinosaur.
    Great video and your work finishing was excellent. 👍

      Whilst i love my 3D printing for producing upgrades and diorama accessories I don't think it will be replacing plastic kits any time in the future. For one there is the expense of a decent printer and resins, then there's all the mess involved with cleaning the prints and then there's the time to print all the parts......The convenience of a kit in a box is what most people, including myself love.....saying that it was a fun project but I don't want to be doing another 3D printed kit just yet, lol 👍

      Writing in capital letters is considered SHOUTING AT SOMEONE. Any reason for that?
      Just curious…

  • @Kojak0
    @Kojak0 6 місяців тому +2

    Well... the model cost over$48, and then you have what, $4-5 worth of resin before you can start building (ie, at the same stage as when opening a new kit)? That is unfortunately quite expensive for a resin kit so saving money can't be the main goal. I find that details are a much better choice to print for boxed kits, like fuel cans and the like, since you will always need more of that, but how many kugelblitz tanks do you want to build?

      My thoughts are pretty similar but it was a fun project all the same👍

    • @CWModelling
      @CWModelling  6 місяців тому

      For scale modelling I think the resin printer would be the most useful but both are excellent printers capable of detailed results as you've seen👍

    Hello, I really enjoy watching your videos and work!! I like this video the most!! Would you also make me a vehicle like this? Unfortunately I don't have anyone who can print something like that for me and your print and the quality of the model are outstanding!! Of course I would cover all costs!! It would be very nice if it worked!! Thanks in advance and more great videos!! Thanks Torsten

      Thanks........I'm afraid I am not able to reproduce the model for anyone else as this would infringe the copyright of the guy who created the 3D model.
      He may be able to help though, Tom is a nice guy from my experience and you can contact him via his Instagram page - instagram.com/tomtheunissen_productdesign
      Its worth asking anyway👍

    Not sure if you really need a respirator while wet sanding?!! :thinking-face:

    • @agn855
      @agn855 6 місяців тому +1

      Amazing! Hint, would think that whatever "real" tubing material (ie from a plastic Q-Tip or real brass) would be of use bc a bended cannon looks kinda weird to me (especially if you see both ones in parallel @ 50:58). Thx, for showing your workflow !

    • @CWModelling
      @CWModelling  6 місяців тому

      Thanks.....My point was to show the options for dealing with sanding resin but maybe it didn't come across as two options.......I think it would have been irresponsible of me not to highlight the issue. I also decided not to show any alterations to the printed kit but unfortunately resin does have a tendency to warp sometimes.
