how many county unites were called to help i heard on scanner they disached wendell and some others to cover also how many responded and how many covered
I used to live in Cary, NC, and we had a huge fire in our apt bldg on 1/3/06. Multiple units lost. The Cary and Raleigh Fire Departments, and EMS were absolutely wonderful! While in our unit, they even put tarps over our furniture to try to save it from water damage from the above unit, etc. Never being in a fire before, I wasn't expecting that.... I come from a law enforcement family, and always respect first responders. They are a special breed.
It was between Jones & Lane on Harrington, not at 400 W North Street. That's the West condo building address! This announcement had a friend of mine freaked who owns there and wasn't at his property.
Considering how many times this has happened over the past few years (Houston, LA, and Maplewood, NJ a few weeks ago, just to name a few), is it time to revisit building codes that allow massive wood structures to be built in densely populated areas?
Matt Andaloro Not familiar with fires at the places . Seems that need special sprinkler system or some kind in place as the building is being constructed
@@tonystephenson4842 well the company that was building it is now building a large development right down the street. Multiple buildings, office, residential, and retail. They now have a security guard on duty whenever contractors aren't present. I did work for them on the side and the guys there are all certified in fire, life, and safe system. Their insurance prices skyrocketed after this fire.
If this one was like many of the others, building being built and the efficiency experts decided to not have ANY sheet rock until all framing and plumbing done. Many have the fire started by a plumber who is probably on his 3rd or 4th job that day. His torch gets away from him. Instead of calling 911, he just packs up and leaves. End result is you have a giant stack of pine with nothing to stop it. It creates it own wind storm (see video on the Maplewood fire). Sorry, but this needs to be outlawed.
1:30 2-alarm
2:18 3-alarm
5:09 4-alarm
17:08 5-alarm
Automated voice is the best in my opinion. Why I love being in wake county!

I live near here
Great job by RFD on containing such a huge fire!
They did a great job on it by all accounts. It was on CH. 5 within minutes.

Dispatcher tells what they are told. THey are not at scene
Imagine being one of those recruits at the academy and getting told to get in the training engine and go to an actual incident
this makes a fantastic alarm clock
Auto voice..singing it out !! Good job by all responders

@@tonystephenson4842When a building is being built they don’t install sprinkler systems because the building is nowhere close to being done
