  • Shoulder External rotation is important for overhead and Olympic lifting as well as reducing symptoms of impingement syndrome. Strengthening the rotator cuff muscles will depress the humorous allowing for more space in the shoulder capsule. Forcing external rotation can cause compensations in the neck and mid-back causing secondary pain with overhead lifting.
    Be sure to consult your current treating physician prior to doing any exercises featured.
    If you ever experience pain or are apprehensive, stop immediately and seek advice for your doctor or consult an emergency physician.
