I think you hit on something really big. With this platform, many of your audience are a LOT more into "Watching the Build Process" than the reality-show documentry type "Here's how i rushed it to some show, worrying about a deadline, and my disappointment". Hotwheels competition is kinda cool, but you're trying to please some random judge for a one-time win. "Garage hangout with a friendly guy building cool stuff" is a great formula to get viewers and sponsors and also sell your own merch. You build really creative and awesome stuff!!! I nearly snapped my neck clean off when i saw the Isetta truck drive past me in Nashville, IN last year
This is good advice. You are an artist, I can see that. And you have the drive and energy to keep going. Don't give up, you are on the verge of getting big. You have the personality and amiability to be a UA-cam star. And most importantly you have a supportive family. I subscribed and shared this video. Is there no reverse gear in the Isetta RV? Thought the Isetta might look better in transit with it's iconic front end backed in (backed in using a come along mounted at the rear ramp, combo'd with a snatch block type pulley or two?), better overall rig fit/placement too maybe with the back end of the RV camper section tucked under the bus canopy ... plus cool dramatic unassisted RV dismount action ... and better advertising during long roadtrips to Leno's, etc. My $0.02 On a side note, if you hadn't already, for an other worldly electronics upgrade to a bus similar to the Scrap Pile Spaceship, U2oob: End of the World Rig Godspeed.
It is made to plug in backwards but we had storms coming and I wanted to get the front door under the roof and the wind deflected by some welding curtains I put up on the sides. I plan on building canopy sides eventually that seal that section up for the race car to fit under there then the RV is made to set on the rear deck backwards with the steps on the rear of the bus leading into the front isetta door for a rear bedroom feel.
Thats what youtubes is for they are our tv saport comes from youtube an people that give to the channels so much better then Tv at least that my two cents lol take care
The main difference is the bank accounts. I’m paying me to do this. Big dogs pay to fill TV slots. I want that opportunity for me and Trent. We do this with almost nothing. We haven’t scratched the surface of our potential. This platform is great for availability but it’s like being a drop of water in an ocean of content where a tv channel has 2-3 similar programs that don’t take views but they bring more opportunities to grow. I want to do a lot of what I never have from now on. It costs a lot to make the kind of mistakes I plan to 😂
The Rv is taller than the flatbed so it will physically fit but the truck is not built to really park anything on. I made it that size so if it were a HotWheels car it would’ve been an extra feature to the playset but in the real world that flatbed is the nicest workbench I have in the shop.
I’m still trying to get to that point. We have select options available over at papertopavement.com of old builds. All funding we were able to land was still shy of enough to pull off the projects and get them shown. Our fingers are crossed the HotWheels investment this year puts on the path we are looking for with a school bus traveling store to add to the internet shop full of all new shirts, posters, toys, and handmade (by me) 1 of 1 art pieces. Please stick around. As soon as I get stocked up I will post links and we will be rolling with updated merch regularly from that point on. It’s all part of a really big process that I need more investors on board for to keep the content where I want it and develop from there.
I have had to deal with a lot of paperwork. So much now that the police officer that does the inspection is really helping me figure out how to process most of it more than the license branch. From now on I’m calling for an inspection first thing. It’s easier to figure it out with an officer than the BMV for me.
@PaperToPavement i heard that i have built enough skip jacks (small boat 8') (videos B K model cars UA-cam)that tha officer is oh I like this one better than the other and has kinda coached me on how far i need to alter a trailer to make it home made I love all your projects
