- Ah, yes... Been a decent amount of time since my last video. I've been working as much as I can to get the 6x fields done. But for now, I'm going to hold off on that. For now, I want to improve the 4x fields and give them better cut outs. Most people may not use the 6x fields due to the lag they'll cause so it just makes more sense to shift focus. But they will come in due time since all they need is cutting out. I'm going to show Dollet with those alphas at 4x and also show what'll need fixed. Also quite a few mods have come out since then, so let's show a few of them off too.
Things to note:
Ignore the glitch in the first FMV. That, along with janky audio, was caused by OBS and not the FMV itself.
The world map has the lines in it due to me choosing to keep Linear Filtering on. Disabling it will likely fix most of what you see.
Some mods are early access. So you'll have to become a patron if you want to use them before the public release.

My goodness now this is the remaster ver. That we deserve.
This is excellent. I think for the things that the AI upscale couldn't reach. (like the small text on the direction board in balamb garden, or the text on the seats in the car... Or even the "balamb garden" logo/sign in the board room) those assets can be reasonably recreated in post production with a bit of research and references.
I always thought I wasn't gonna get it but, I cant deny these results simply beautiful, I'm just put off by the mod process, seems so much more difficult than the 2013 release I already have modded.
Good thing you bring that up. I'm working on a Lunatic Pandora: Remastered mod pack. Also, the current method of using Maki's DEMASTER mod tool is pretty dang easy to do :)
@@MCINDUS yo if it aint the master 😉, yeah that demaster really is impressive I need to look at it again does say it comes with a guide, it is so tempting given the level you guys have achieved. Honestly tho I'm pretty comfortable with my 2013 LP version. Think I might wait a lil longer, I'm well up for a LP remaster pack that sounds top banana👍. I can imagine it would be quite a size tho compared to the current LP ? The giga pixel alone is big.

Damn, this looks like a decent looking PS2 launch title. This and Moguri as well as the plethora of FFVII hd and life improvement mods lead me to believe that there are some really talented and passionate square/final fantasy fans out there.
The aspect ratio kinda ruins it since its stretched, err thing else looks good tho.
Do you know any way to make it widescreen?
@ there are mods for the non remastered version that redo the backgrounds and the such. Many of them are being ported to remastered. And are still in development so not finished. Youd have to google for it, but it's on a forum. Ide share if I had it bookmarked.

this mod looks amazing. i grabbed Project Angelwing off patreon but it lags and stutters when there are moving backgrounds. but its smooth for you! any ideas why?

When will the enhanced FMVs be released to the public, if ever? Also on the Qhimm mod page that has a lot of these mods listed, the HorizonPack: Remastered v1.1.a link does not lead me to a page that works.

Somewhat off topic question, I'm using the trial version of video enhance ai. I was rendering a long video and was about halfway through when i let my dad use my computer and he shutdown the program. So the video file is incomplete and in my downloads folder, is there a way to resume rendering with either the full or trial version? At least on the trial version I don't see one, willing to buy the full version if that's an added feature, I can't find an answer to this question anywhere?
I'm not familiar with FF8 modding, but is this the remastered version of the game running with mods or the OG steam version? Also widescreen???

I dont like what they did to Squalls hair in the remaster but damn it all looks pretty good otherwise. I've been playing this game for over 20 yrs... I cant believe its been so long.

Ok i am seriously confused... How did you get "HorizonPack: Remastered v1.2 - World Textures by Mcindus" To work with the 2019 Remastered? I can't get it to work...

I was about to start tripping about like 1 to 5 dollars until I saw the amount of effort. Nice. I have a tiny contribution. It would be more interesting if specific 2D had negatives of competing darkness/color per pixel per scene hand changed to hide getting away with more character model shadow and geometric glow shader effects.

Yeah raytracing works. Does it have a lot to add? Not really. The best effect was the glow on geometry. The ambient occlusion and reflections are so limited its kind of a joke. Someone who cared though could brute force through all that limitation. Id be super impressed too.
