what is your grid size settings? and what is the base document size you use for your posters please. cheers for the vids lately. they been helping in my sports design. ive transitioned from music artwork so again cheers.
I use 1080x1350 pixels (Instagram vertical format size), 72 pixels per inch, I think I have my grid lines every 0.5 inches. If you’re planning on making printable posters though, you should aim for something like 11x17 inches (or however big you want it) at 300 pixels per inch
Love watching your videos to help learn and pick up little tricks, is there a setting for circle text? Haven't seen the videos for doing that and want to bring that into some of my graphics
Hey man I am doing design work as a side gig in clg, smt i do, sports, business venture and parties poster design should I niche down to one specific down now as a freelancer or being generalist able to pay my bills??
I don’t have much freelance experience so I might not be the best person to ask, but my gut would be to keep your options open! There just isn’t sooo much sports work out there when it comes to design jobs, so if it were me I’d keep myself open to opportunities everywhere
Thank you! Don't remember exactly where I got it, but if you look up "dots pattern" or "dots texture" on adobe free stock collection you can probably find something similar
Hello dude, great work, great video! What command do you use to make the slides appear? Ctrl + H?? min 24:19 Excuse my English, I follow you from Venezuela.
Thank you! The shortcut to make grids appear is Command apostrophe ‘ I’ve got a video on grids, guides and margins if you’re looking for more of an explanation! ua-cam.com/video/-1fizwRfvjg/v-deo.htmlsi=NOqFlyr75hmzklf5
Yeahh I have thought about this. Generally I prefer if people don't follow along EXACTLY with what I'm doing, and instead make their own version, I think it helps understand/figure out each technique rather than copy steps without understanding them
I've been hesitant to provide assets since I don't really want people to replicate my designs EXACTLY-I think it's better to learn the intention/reasoning behind certain steps rather than following step-by-step methods to replicate an identical design. So ideally want people to gather their own assets and maybe try a similar approach, but also finding arrangements/compositions/techniques that work for them
Hey! I see all comments eventually :) So far I've just been sticking with Ultimate Frisbee designs since that's what I work most with, but I will consider expanding to other sports in the future
I really haven't done much freelancing personally, so I'm sure others could speak to this much more, but I do have a video on How to Get a Job in Sports Design that has some tips that may be helpful! ua-cam.com/video/1vCtGzx3iGo/v-deo.html

great job thanks
I loved your use of the Golden Ratio in sizing your photos. Lots of designers just guess.
Appreciate it! Yeah it's really nice as a starting point at the very least, then can always adjust further if it doesn't feel right
how do you copy and paste filter effects to each cut out
I click and drag the smart filters to other smart objects while holding Option (on a mac)
Your videos are great! One thing you can include are the exercise files so people could follow along

Can you attach the source file so it help us to follow and recreate
Could you provide the assets for practice
