New Powerspark 65D Re-curving for Red 998 Mini project

  • Recurving a Powerspark 65D distributor for a 998 High compression mini.
    I fully dismantle this unit to get access to the main distributor shaft.
    I measure the amount of advance and add modify untill I achieve the advance that I want.
    I test and replace the primary and secondary springs to achieve the advance curve that I need for this particular engine.
    Then reassemble the unit.

    At last! Thanks for posting a nicely detailed explanation of how primary and secondary springs operate, particularly the secondary one being slack at rest. I'm off to check mine !
