@HamRadioConcepts Good it's about time people wake up to the obvious reality that we don't live on the outside of a spinning ball. Make sure you watch some Eric Dubay videos and use your head to think before making a video that makes you look silly.
@@RaymerProductions Spend some time looking up instead of eating hot pockets in your moms basement watching flat Earth theory proffered by fools wit IQ's smaller than their shoe size.
I just think It would be neat to play around with, Ham option is cool. But all that other Data from around the World In real time. WoW. I'm In agreement with you, It would be Amazing to have the Hurricane In live time as well. Maybe soon? Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed your enthusiasm and video. Cheers
To keep it from becoming too "busy" the display needs a mode where it moves between scenarios, ie, shipping lanes, hurricanes. It need a ZOOM level to look at an "area of interest" and layers, ex. all of the shipping AND (for example) aircraft currently over Lake Erie. It needs an "auto zoom" for an "active area of interest" , ex. on earthquake mode, to zoom in on most recent event. It needs a lightning map. A threat map, or a "current (hot) war" map. We also need to know how much the thing costs, along with all of the subscription bells and whistles. I'd throw in the CIA Factbook as well. 73 DE W8LV BILL
Awe3some machine. I am interested, but not in my budget just yet. I like history of Hurricanes so if they do add that mod, I might just have to get one after all. Thanks Eric. (Texas Gulf Coast)
I have one. I did not add the ham bundle as it's a yearly fee of $70. It's a cool product, but not if you are on a budget. I should have just spent money on more ham gear, but oh well it's in my shack now anyway...I'm not sure I would do it over if I had the choice. Just sayin...
Not sure I never measured it but I'm guessing not much, I would assume it loads the data on the device at one time then the computer takes over until it needs to update again after a while.
Shut up and take my money. So much to do with this. This will help me get even more out my HF experience. I'm also budding weather buff so I think some of those aspects could be fun. Thanks for posting. 73 de K2BNY
A tad pricy ,yes 🤔 but I love mine and the ham layer my biggest bug is that within months of buying mine electricity prices went through the roof here in the UK so I don’t run it so much and it does take a a couple of mins to boot up,well it is a Pc after all. I first saw these on cruise ships where they have them in the lobby’s and reception areas and they are a great conversation object, not essential for a lot of Hams but if you have loads of radio gear already and the money for this and a decent 4K monitor/ TV then why not 😀😀
I had a version 1, then upgraded to the current version. If you think any radio more expensive than a BAOFENG is too much, then you do not want this. It is much more than any free PC version. Has lots of useful data, but at a cost. If you have a book shelf full of Tom Clancy books and movies, then you might want this. It needs a "zoom" function to see the country call signs. They say they have been working on this... for a couple of years. Must not be easy. Right now you cannot buy a new ID-52 or D74 in the USA, so spend that money on this.
Live WX radar wouldn't be bad either. As an avid cruiser(cruise ships) I'd love to see AIS data and ships. Watching this now as I'm thinking about buying one. Can you zoom in or do you have to look at the entire world all the time?
Save you $$$$$. I have one including the Ham package, it's a nice gimmick to have in the shack. Earthquake package is extra. Would i recommend it, no, I'd spend my 500 euros on a decent antenna or other ham equipment. There's nothing on this that's mind blowing, I'll sell mine if someone is interested, as i don't use it. It is handy if you don't know geography of where other Countries are outside of USA!
Well, sir-mam all I can say is for right now it works to the fullest the Geochron 4k Atlas 2 is a good device this is the first place herein this video that I saw it, and I said no to the price however, I still went and bought the Geochron 4k Atlas 2; anyway and its works good for right now; I'm dry running things on it for one thing I like the remote it works in place of a computer mouse the cursor; sir-mam the showman ship is good I had it for a few hrs. before I had hooked up to see a person should see a difference it took five minutes on the TV without the wi-fi to came into play then I had tried the wifi so it took up to about 15 minutes to get everything up and going in about a half hour the basics was in place Wi-Fi clock etc, but the downfall was I had to wait x time, after I had turned it off to get restarted again, cause it was updating so far so good the Geochron 4k Atlas 2; I highly, recommend buy it sir-mam; myself a black guy; since 10-21-22 sir-mam; I've been dry running this Geochron device it gets real hot the device, and you can turn off with the device and, to cut it on you have to press the button on the device; I don't like the covid-19; parts but it works real good so far;
Hi Eric, I saw this in Huntsville too. I loved it. It's the coolest gadget I own. BTW will I see you in Melbourne next weekend? Next time mention how you can upload your own ADIF logs and show tracks. Pretty cool. Talk soon KO4PDI 73.
I just want the software/firmware i have several pc's that can /would run that thing Faster than tht thing could ever dream of doing !..i dont use a firestick for the same reason..Way to Slow & Under Powered & Over Priced by about 90% ! dont get me wrong it is cool but its not capable of ever being 500$ + cool !
Who gives a toss about static shipping and flight routes, they should be live. I can think of a heap of features off hand, this is a missed opportunity and a rip off.
Nice try, but you blew it. You tried explaining things on screen and you were obviously exited about it, but to much visual interference! You should have started with a blank Geochron and did the explaining as you turned on, 1 thing at a time and then left it on screen. THX for trying.
Poor guy still thinks he lives on a spinning ball. Little dies he realize what he's showing once again proves how flat earth works

It was exactly 23:37 that I quit watching your video, and ordered one. I’ve been waiting for a review of the Ham layers before deciding. Thank you!
nice demo. mine should be here Thursday
I 'm waiting for the Solar Weather upgrade to be added as I'm an Astronomer and a Ham radio operator de 2E0LUN / KC2VWR

Anyone know if you can zoom in on an area? How about tracking a single flight number?

EXCELLENT JOB WELL DONE 👏 ✔ 👍
So use this in my 50 inch or my 24 inch that I use on my yaesu

Or built a Ham Clock on a Raspberry Pi.
How much data does this use on a daily basis? I'm asking because I'm on a metered connection. Thanks if you get to me

"So much to do with this" no really, it just looks nice.. As above I have the new version, and the novelty has worn off already..

Would be totally interested in this if not for the annual fee. Neat tool but not worth an annual fee.

biggest waste of money in all of ham radio , it looks cool but looks doesnt do nothing for you
11:40 covid isn't fake it's just over hyped, far less dangerous than H1N1 yet a far more extreme response
Ok. But this isn't about that. Some people just feel like they need to be heard.
I was doing good till you asked me if I am doing good and ... so tuned out.. sorry. too weird for this time.
