India opened just 4 Metro Network before 2014
India opened 12 Metro Network from 2014 till Jan 2024
India have 16 metro Network in 16 Cities with a Total Length of 862 km
More then 1000 km of Metro Lines are Under Construction all over India
Here are the New Cities which will get their metro network in 2024
1. Agra Metro
2. Bhopal metro
3. Indore metro
Here are the New Metro Lines openning in 2024
1. Delhi metro :- Janakpuri West to Krishna Park (Extension) 2.5-3 km
2. Bengaluru Metro:- yellow line connecting RV Road to Bommasandra to open in April 2024 (18.8 km)
3. Chennai Metro :- Kodambakkam to Poonamallee strech to be open by dec 2024 (16 km)
4. Kolkata metro :- East-West line between Howrah Maidan and Sector V openning by June 2024(16.5 km),New Garia-Ruby stretch to be open by March 2024(5.4 km),Noapara-Barasat corridor (Yellow Line) to be open by dec 2024 (7 km)
5. Mumbai Metro :- Metro line 3 underground corridor between Aarey and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) is expected to open in March/April 2024(12 km),BKC-Aarey route to open by sep/Oct 2024
6.Ahemdabad Metro :- ahemdabad to gift city metro line open by June 2024 (20 km)
7. Pune Metro :- Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi(5.5 km) in Feb/ March 2024 and Civil Court to Swargate to open by March 2024

The Indian government must never stop building new metro lines, as many as possible! Because prices are increasing day by day and in the coming years building metro will become prohibitively expensive, just like in the western nations, because of increases in the cost of labor and construction materials. I know that even today the prices are already quite high but we must still continue to build more lines cz otherwise in the future it will be even more expensive to build!

Indore metro will start in late 2024 ..
Station work is remaining .. sections over railway line is remaining .. track work ( can be done in 2 months )
exterior and shed of stations .. interior work such as ticket counters ..
some stations' civil work such as pillars have just started ..
and there is no meaning in opening 5.3km from Gandhinagar to SC-3 as no one will travel from there .
full section from Radisson to Gandhinagar should open for attracting travellers but still it would be less as it still wouldn't connect important sections such as Railway Station and Airport ( included in phase 1) .
so for total operation wait till 2028 but it would open in late 2024 or early 2025

No Sir, they may go with Suburban rail expansion instead. They only announced they do call for a feasibility report, it may be rejected also later. It will take another 12-15 years also (whether sub urban or metro), as political will is lacking in this state in all parties.

No specific date yet but the Gujarat gov have allocated funds for vadodara metro in 2024-25 budget
