Thank you very much from Norway, for this beautifull performance. Thank you for each of you, that makes this performance possible. Musicians, singers, but also technicians, and photographer who realized this video. I am sure that you will not only reach our ears, but also the bottom of our hearts. Wherever we are in the world. Take good care of you and each other. Waiting for the next video.......and your new CD allready ordered.
Listen to this almost constantly at the beginning of the pandemic. Seemed to match the mood of the world. Fantastic performance! I'll be listening a lot again.
Same here, even got to perform this a few times live before the pandemic hit Oslo. Since then we haven't been able to perform as much live music, although the restrictions eased off for a while in October. This recording has been keeping me company instead!
When I shared this, an asian friend of mine in Singapore said "This type of songs makes me cry.. Im not sure why." Me too! I feel a wonderful, tender, cross-cultural and valid dialogue is about to be had... :) And, it works both ways. Latterly some Mongolian music I've heard recently aims deep with its hauntingly beautiful melody and soulful delivery. The power of music to unite on such a wonderful human level :) (particularly Early Music, for me, anyway).
Lindo! Você sempre gostou desse tipo de música... Você tocava em orquestra barroca!!! É de uma perfeição admirável! Acalma o coração e a mente! Muito maravilhoso!
@@anetabramborova4536 I realize the social distancing. I worry about them still. This is without a doubt amazing. I've been listening repeatedly but with a sad feeling if any of them got sick. Thank you for your answer. I appreciate it.
@@tomgruda4015 It seems the beautiful gift they give us is opening your tender heart to the Beauty and the sadness / fear that is.all around us. . May the Presence of the Life that holds us all .. no matter what.. hold you tenderly... I am grateful for this music and for your openness.. Peace be with you...
@@tomgruda4015 Thank You too! And please do not worry and do not be sad - it is very kind of you - but we are all healthy and lucky that we could sing and play this piece `together`..and please...be lucky with us... sadness is now all around the world :-/... but thank You!!!
I just received 2 of the 6 masks (3 different styles) for upcoming rehearsals and concerts in May. i play bass trombone. A friend of mine participated in a conducting workshop at the University of Washington, where he as conductor was masked as were all members of the concert band. So glad to see that this cottage industry started up, manufacturing masks for musicians. In IT, the saying goes "Never touch a running system". Good saying. I've been masking for 2 years, keeping my distance and am tripel vaccinated. My "system" is running just fine. Much rather play behind a mask than not wear one and try to breath with a tube stuck down my throat. And yeah, it a -huge- consolation, that only 6% of those vaccinated get seriously ill. Especially when I tick so many of the risk factor boxes. "Well, if it's any comfort, he died after waiting for a lung transplant due to the milder omicron version." No thanks. I'll keep on keeping on.
We are learning that the 6 foot distance rule has no effect when singing. It's not just the droplets, but the aerosols that can shoot far further and remain in the air for hours. In fact, it is now suggested that even this might be a risk.
I am sure the sound was recorded before the video ... I don't see the singers sounding that good with masks... I tried to sing with a mask ... a lot is lost. Those are very well made video clips, don't get me wrong they are superb. But I am pretty sure that the audio was pre recorded. If anyone knows the answer I would be glad to have the answer.

Bravi! Wunderschön. Und es macht Mut, danke sehr
As always Vaclav Luks and Collegium 1704 produce an amazing work, I think I am forever a fan.
Seeing them with their masks on adds another layer of intensity and meaning to their beautiful singing.

Na 12.3 mám do Vzletu lístek a už se nemohu dočkat! Musím si to pouštět stále znovu a myslím, že nehrozí, že by se mě to omrzelo.
Schitterend en indrukwekkend!
They play very well but.... Could someone explain me the meaning of this video?
Why they wear masks? W H Y ?
due to the covid-19 pandemic, i believe!!!!
where have YOU been???
seriously have you been living in a cave?
pax vobiscum
Beautiful but I can't help but worry that you shouldn't be this close.
Thank You, don ‘t worry, we are not close at all, we have more than 2 meters distance each - controlled with tape measure;-)

Une prestation musicale sous forme de mascarade...
How ridiculous those masks and the distancing look now. What madness did we live and make music through?
With the distance between them I would say the masks are not needed: now we miss the consonants, and the singers lack oxygen
We are learning that the 6 foot distance rule has no effect when singing. It's not just the droplets, but the aerosols that can shoot far further and remain in the air for hours. In fact, it is now suggested that even this might be a risk.
@@mattglandorf7762 All right, thanks. Not a situation that can be tested (ethically)

Thank You for this answer... but we really had masks all the time... the sound is authentic...
I believe the masks are still obligatory, in closed public spaces. No choice.
