Can’t wait for the next one. I find myself glued (no pun intended) to your vids. You have a real talent for getting things to go together with minimal materials and ingenuity. 🍺
You would be a machine with a pocket hole jig. I’ve been wondering that for a while. I’m not sure about others, and I know there is a delay, but if you’ll toss some things up on Amazon wish list, I’m sure some of us would be happy to help out with your project. Keep up the good work.
Dave as always, it is our pleasure to tune in and watch you, never loose your humor. You're cabinets are Great❕️👍. You can always route some room for your under cabinet light. 💡 😮 As a couple, we don't pay any attention to the days of the week. 😊 You will be there soon enough, no more stress around Suday nights. Yes ❤️ and hug them kitties. We look forward to next time. ✌🏻❤️ 🇨🇦. P.S we love that you take your time in a relaxed manner.😊😊
I have just binge watch the entire series over the last two days, I love the way you are, a lot if UA-camrs feel like an act a persona you are real, keep being you man, the van is looking awesome too!
I'm learning so much from your step by step easy going laid back instructions as you build. Again as I've said before it's going to help me so much when I get started back on my rebuild in a couple months. Can't wait for the next video. You keep being you and I definitely will keep watching. Say hello to the kitty, I have 2 of my own plus a medium sized dog so I can't wait to move back into my rig and hit the road.
I love that you're taking your time, even though I'm sure you can't wait to start traveling. No rushing, just doing it right the first time. Your patience will be rewarded!
Your attention to detail and perfection are very good attributes. Enjoying your videos as always. If someone wants to gut your van in a 100 years, they’ll play hell getting anything out of it.
I didnt realize when i started watching this series that it wasnt a finished project but i am glad that i am still getting notifications. Keep on keepin on.
Its looking good, great attention to detail, its getting near to the fun cosmetics stage. As always love the channel, you hang in there, best wishes from Scotland UK 🏆
Nice work I definitely like what you're doing and yeah I would have probably stuck a shelf bracket in there myself just for extra support also I can't wait to see how you do your shower that also be very interesting thank you for the video and keep up the nice work
I think you have done a great job on building this van. Keep up the good work that you’re doing. I really enjoy watching your videos and look forward to the next one.
Enjoy the video, thank you! Also cracked me up with the quote, though I went to that scene from "The Postman" where the evil general guy is talking to himself in the mirror. "Stop Moving!"
I love watching your videos! So relaxing and calming. One tip I wanted to share that I picked up a few years ago... If you shoot 2 brad nails in at a V shape, it significantly increases their hold. I know this tip comes at perfect timing, right as your completing the cabinets and the majority of your wood working. Keep it up! I can't wait to see the finish project and the adventures she takes you on!
Hello if you take in use the same paneling that you use for your roof on your outer skins of all your cabinets and doors it would tie it in and make it look really professional you're doing a fantastic job I love watching the build raw rooting for you keep up the nice carpentry work you're doing great
Pocket hole jigs are great. I did my bed using that. If you do get one. Dont get a cheap version. I did and i regret it. Get the authentic one. Yes its expensive but worth every penny. Pocket holes make the wood extra strong. Plus you cant see the screws on the outside. Like you do a nail. Because its all done where you cant see it.
Pocket holes require pocket hole screws. They are special. Just something to think about. It is a good system, but not sure anything you need for this build. Just use the Brad nails.
You really cant build units outside the van then try to fit them because nothing is square or level. After watching some airstream builds i am convinced you are doing it the right way. The only other option is to scribe templates and that wastes material. No, despite comments to the contrary you are doing it the smart way. Light, strong and built in place to fit.
What wood stove are you using thinking about getting one really like the size of the one you installed love your build were going full time in July trying to get everything ready really love your videos hope to see you out on the road
Mate, I would have placed some cardboard or a folded towel or anything over the glass stove and sink cover to prevent scratches. Each time you threw the ply or nail gun or any tools on that counter I cringed. lol
@@vanlifemeow just a issue i had with my skoolie build ,, just didnt want you too over look that ,good build i think im going to sell my skoolie and build a box truck next
The cabinets looks amazing man! I really enjoyed watching the whole process. However, I do have an issue with one part - I don't think that the so called "kids" truly say whatever it was that you said they do, my brother. You know, I really don't think that they actually even speak to each other at all, anymore. I think that they just send each other selfies, & emoticons, & AIs, & TIK TOKs, & who knows what else with their tablets and their ungodly devices. All of these modern contraptions and doohickies are all sent from Satan I tells ya!! Speaking of which - when/if you do decide to start selling off your stuff in the shop, can i have first dibs/bids on the Slayer tapestry?? You know I am their biggest fan! You are still my #1 favorite UA-cam channel. Keep up the excellent work and can't wait for the next video! 🤘🤘
My only concern with your build method is wood movement. You used a lot of glue which will prevent the wood from moving and may crack. However, using small kiln dried white wood and mostly butt joints and the fact that you are giving it a plywood skin i wouldnt think it would be much of an issue. And you built it strong. An engineer would say you use too many screws and nails but i do the same. Naw, it should be good. And if not it isnt hard to rebuild things now and then. Change things up.
I'll be waiting for the next video. Things look great.
Can’t wait for the next one. I find myself glued (no pun intended) to your vids. You have a real talent for getting things to go together with minimal materials and ingenuity. 🍺

Just started my own build and your long videos have been super useful to help me finalize mine. Your build's looking great so far!
Well sir, I was surprised to see a video in the middle of the week. It was exciting actually, I think I maybe addicted,.
Hey Meow.....looking good Dave. Thanks for Wednesday video this week
You have a lot of cabinet space. It's going to look great when they are finished

Cool
Lol the ending haha dude ur funny
A Kreg jig for pocket holes would have served you well. Not expensive at all and very strong. You could build your cabinet door frames with it......
my friend has one he said i could borrow, might try it out
👍
Can't wait for the next video. What's on the agenda?
working on finishing that wall behind the kitchen and the alcove that the wood stove sits in
Pocket holes require pocket hole screws. They are special. Just something to think about. It is a good system, but not sure anything you need for this build. Just use the Brad nails.
You can use other screws the heads just need to fit in the holes
@theadventuresofallenandtheresa you "can" do anything you like. Pocket screws are specially designed for that application.
@seanobrien7169 yes...they are but others work...

I’ve seen many
Vans that have used real ceramic tile with out any problems
Last video the history on the titanic was interesting to know.

I am no carpenter, but won't that all fall apart once you get going and that box truck starts moving back and forth?
the plywood on the sides, screwed it to the wall and ceiling, plus all that glue should be good

How strong are those glue and Brad joints?
time will tell
🎉
❤
Are you keeping the wood look or are you planning on painting or vinyl wrapping them?
painting the walls, staining the cabinets
Hello my friend
Have we seen your kitty on any of your episodes yet?
they made cameos in my first few road trip videos
I sent you something a little while back wasn't sure if you received it
i got your super thanks a while back. much appreciated thank you!
Mate, I would have placed some cardboard or a folded towel or anything over the glass stove and sink cover to prevent scratches.

i eventually did, yeah
do you have the van level ? dont think the level is good if not ,square is the way to go in that case , not that it matters ,great job either way
it's level left-to-right but not front-to-back
@@vanlifemeow just a issue i had with my skoolie build ,, just didnt want you too over look that ,good build i think im going to sell my skoolie and build a box truck next
How many kitties and would like to know the names

i am curious how the cabinets will do with the van flexing off road and stuff
