Who has a doordash or grubhub job? Ill log onto your app work it for 12 hours and record my experience. All the money I make during those 12 hours is yours. I promise you I wont demand a tip or complain about not getting one. Im more than willing to put my money where my mouth is. You all say this job is so hard and pays so little. Lets put it to the test.

I stopped GrubHub close to 3 years ago. One day my average earnings equalled less than $7/hour. I called customer service and asked if they can see my earnings, and why they were so low? Once I hung up they started sending higher earning pick ups but after 2 more I shut the app off. Next day same thing but was around $10/ hour. Mind you the first year doing it the average was $17-$20 an hour. These apps aren't worth it anymore imo

He didn't even wait for you to give him a tip. He just shoved the food in your hand. Why did he take the delivery?

When doing any service that involves tip gotta remember that tips are a courtesy not mandated

But this type of person is entitled. He didn't even wait to see if you gave a cash tip. I always give cash tips. As someone who use to work in the food industry, I know that it is easier to claim less when the tips are in cash versus given on the apps. Meaning a two dollar tip is worth more simply because I gave it in cash instead of adding it to my bill that states I did not give a tip. 🤑

I keep saying this. The bar in my neighborhood has one of the RUDEST servers I've ever met - literally dont go there because of her. Out with friends once, went to the bathroom and told them to order our last round... she told my friends while i was gone that i never tip her. Uh, that's because ur service is always POOR.
There was one time i came in and sat at the bar counter, and i couldnt even see anyone working, like where was she? She came out from the kitchen, saw me, but didnt come over, and then a couple came in and sat next to me, and she came over took their order, WENT TO MAKE IT, and then asked for my own.......
I do tip wat i can, but shit like that shows me the entitlement. Her coworkers get better tips from me, DO BETTER and u might see it.

The audacity of insulting someone while you're on their property, and thier ordering food is providing YOU a low paying, but flexible job opportunity. IJS, make it make sense. Don't work a job you gonna be bitter with customers about. You'll eff around and find out like this guy 😂

The delivery services don’t pay the drivers enough, so tips make up the difference. A lot of people don’t tip, and many drivers just don’t accept orders below their threshold. I tip when I order, then complain if the order is wrong.

They will charge a customer $25.00 but the driver receive that order and its $2.50 I swear they dont pay drivers but people dont know that. I had to find out from customers that I was being duped.

Lost his job over a tip that isnt a requirement. You get a check... thats your pay. Anything extra is a bonus, which you are not entitled to.

As someone who's worked in the restaurant industry for many many years and I don't want to argue with
my Beloved brother I'm going to leave this subject of tipping alone....

I do tip but why should we tip before we get anything 🤷🏽‍♀️! The restaurant is different, I know I’m being served and how my service was given to me. These people are too entitled, I have tipped and like he said had my food dropped at a stop sign! Couldn’t get my tip back

Tbh Anyone that drives for grub hub and door dash knows they do not pay enough at all I've had so many orders come in at $2.50 swear. (Specially door dash) thats why I left them. But what I found out was if I'm getting $2.50 the company actually charged the customer $25.00. And so people still dont tip. They put tape on bags so if anything is missing drivers will not know. But this is why I refuse low orders. And I have a real job but in this economy it's hard to survive. With my regular job I'm being told I make to much money so I'm not eligible for any help tho my Bill's exceed my check, but but taxes say I have it I don't. So I deliver on the side. A single parent. Can't get a single food stamp. Or any assistance. As a driver if the amount isn't what you feel is reasonable just refuse it. And move on dont try and force people to tip. That's not the professional way to handle it.

I tip when I want too. It’s not up to me to be financially responsible for you. Take that up with your boss.

Most orders without tips end up costing the driver. Experienced drivers reject orders that are less than $2 a mile because it's just not worth the time, effort or gas. Dude should've just rejected it and left it for someone who didn't mind the low pay. You should always tip though because if it was an easy task, you would've picked the order up yourself 🤷🏾‍♀️. And we all know the company isn't paying out a fair wage to their drivers.

    • @AngryBiracialReacts
      @AngryBiracialReacts  12 днів тому +8

it is an easy task. I could have picked it up. I decided to pay for a service that includes a delivery fee. So I paid for the meal and the delivery. The tip is not manditory. If drivers have an issue with what they are being paid they should take it up with grubhub not the customer. I work hard for my money if i want to be cheap so be it. If drivers dont like not getting tips dont accept the order or find a better job.

@@AngryBiracialReactsexactly! These people are bias because they’re either doing these jobs or know someone. How dare say someone should always tip, get another job. We pay service and delivery fees so whatever

It’s an always yt people that feel entitled to tipping and more money. Every other race I know just works hard.
Just like nurses always going on strike for more pay and benefits. While the people they serve don’t have either.

I have worked a few jobs where people tipped, although it wasn’t expected or demanded because I am going to do my best regardless. When working for the public in whatever capacity being courteous and kind goes a long way. You cannot control what others do but sure can control what you do.
I know my blessings come from my faith.
