Strenght of necropolis lays in necromancy, those types of comparisments are not very conclusive. Btw ghost dragons special ability is one of the best in game, low chance of activating is huge drawback tho.
@@krzkam7792 In terms of the unit, i still think the dragons are shit, although they might have a good skill, but i just never build them so dont get to see it. True, the faction isn't determined just like that, and depends on template to template, but if you dont have any good dwellings, i find that the faction becomes trash, no matter what, if one has to rely on weekly growth.

Units being not very strong are perfectly sense to me becouse they are just reanimated corpses so it's reasonable they are weaker than living creatures, but you fighting with quantity instead of quality which make the most unique and immersive Dead Army experience town for me, not mention awesome castle and units graphics and incredible music ot this town. It's my favorite town thank to that unique strategy of playing.

Not gonna lie, i have Only played 1 and a half campaign, the rest i know is from watching others, so i probably don't know it all, and strategies can of course vary.

Вот только на турнирах одно время запрещали именно некромантов =) Когда речь идёт о Некрополисе нельзя забывать о навыке некромантии, за 100 недель грамотный некромант сделает десятки(а то и сотни) тысяч скелетов, которые в соло вырежут всю армию Замка. некромантия - это неотъемлемая часть этого замка во всех частях и баланс этого замка должен идти с оглядкой на этот навык. В других замках такого нет.

Red/green dragons are harder to get than angels, tower is most expensive, easier to get giants, harder for titans. Ofc unit price is insane for angels/Archangels, but they dont come close in terms of strength
Necropolis is balanced for having the Necromancy skill if not outright converting living units to udead, so just the units from the castle growth are supposed to be weaker than other castles.
Spirit of oppression wasn't used because necro can't morale,but castle can,because of angels passive giving morale,technically dumping the entire RNG of castle.

I understand from the idea that not being able to be a morale can be considered a negative, it's just a shame there's no opportunity to explore the opposite side of that with negative morale. In my heart though, I already know necro is weaker and auto won't optimize special abilities so I'm just fighting for the necropolis to have a chance haha

make it 10 millions, not 10k. I only play against the AI, and only attack the AI at the end of month 12 and whenever I play Necro I get few million skeletons by the time I attack the AI. And 12 months means 48 weeks... 100 weeks will get you at least 10-20 millions skeletons, or - worse - 1 million Power Liches if you are a douchebag and play the game with the CotUK artefact

@@60b1in galthran is better in short-medium lasting games, not in late games like I play (12 months). After 12 months no one can handle millions of skeletons... well, except for Tazar maybe, but even he'd need tough army and a few tricks up his sleeve.

It does prove something: it proves how shitty the 15% chance of aging is for those useless ghost dragons. Had I been the developer of this game I would have given them at least 25% chance pf proccing, if not 30% or 35%. And that's despite of the fact that I am a passionate hater of Necropolis, that I never play this cheating faction and that I'd like it removed from all installments of HoMM. But even so, having a tier 7 creature that hits 10 times in a fight without proccing its only ability once is downright retarded. I know that the millions of skeletons you get in each game is how you win with Necropolis, but damn if those dragons are not 100% useless!

It might have procced once, but these were Bone Dragons rather than Ghost Dragons. Necromancy would be stronger if what you resurrected was a similar creature type. E.g. if you kill a bunch of dragons, the Necromancy should raise Bone or Ghost Dragons instead of skeletons.

They would always lose. But a years worth of fighting and skeletons harvested, mass slow and implosion fight be enough to even a fight
Castle units are so good but expensive and harder to get resource wise if you arent always just playing Jebus Cross.
