That Car checks ALL the boxes. I remember when it first came out and was blown away by how it was so true to its roots. I Can't think of a car I'd rather own and I'd drive it every day.
I'm glad Hoovie let you borrow another beautiful car for us to see one more time! Also, you and Jake should get together again and do another talking about random nonsense (and cars) stream, that was fun!
I was so excited to see that you have a new video!! Exploding bolts??? Never heard of that before!! Your videos are always so engaging! Thank you Mr. Motory Notary!
I'm glad to see you back Elliott! Clearly your enthusiasm for the SLS AMG is infectious, but I gotta say- I'm not a fan of the color combination. I'd much rather see a classic red interior with either the diamond white or iridium silver, but that's just me.
Let’s compare 2 UA-camrs, Elliot and Hoovie: Both are very nice and likable car guys. Both are my two favorite car UA-camrs. Both have cute daughters. One claims to be the dumbest channel on UA-cam and the other can attest and verify that the other one claims to be the dumbest. Both have subscribers numbers with a “4” in it, 1.4M vs. 49k. Both have cool cars and great car stories (see VinWiki). Both have been on presenters at big Car Auctions. One is famous for loosing money when selling his UA-cam cars and the other, well he just looses money on UA-cam. One shows us a car when only when he buys it, it’s broken or he is selling it. The other shows us the how much he enjoys his cars. Maybe the one with the fewest cars could feature the hidden treasures of the others one’s collection. That would be fun.
Today is a great day. Why you ask? There’s an Elliott Alvis video! This time don’t stay away too long. Even if you just want to go live and read yelp reviews. Any Motorian(believers in the Motor Notary) would gladly watch.
@@ElliottAlvis you have believers, I was just nerdy enough to name us. I get life throws you curveballs and I’m not here to minimize that, I just wanted you to know how much we enjoy the channel. It’s easy to be a troll. That’s why I try to anti-troll. Be happy my friend.
The SLS throttle response in all the rev range in all gears, put most cars to shame. It is a well designed car, well engineered, wonderfully thought, and engine with response, depth, well calibrated throttle, perfect steering, super stable chassis, high speed stability, comfortable, classy, beautiful, exhilarating when driven hard, marvelous engine sound without being too intrusive...honestly, this is the best car in the world. It might not be the best car in any item of the car industry, but it is so good in all of the items that I think it probably is the best car even. My opinion, it leaves the AMG GT in the dust...the AMG GT is better in some aspects, but overall, and particularly the engine response...is another level...those that like to appreciate each millimeter of throttle pedal, and like immediate response, and like a telepathic connection with the engine..this is the car
Sorry about your marital troubles. Going through that myself right now. Debating on alimony and child support. I'm on disability and she cheated on me and moved away from Florida to Ohio and left me with all the kids, then claimed she was overpaying in child support (she was underpaying by 80 bucks) and she also doesn't want to pay Alimony but yet wants to sell our house and we have no place to live, but she doesn't care. I don't know what happened in your case, I'm just telling you about mine in case it's worse or better than yours. Hope it all comes out OK. Take care Elliott. You have always made me smile when I watched your videos and still do.
Clif, I am so sorry to hear about your marital issues. Even worse that you’re getting screwed over in a big way. There’s really nothing worse. I appreciate that you watch, comment, and feel comfortable sharing information like this with me. It doesn’t go unnoticed. God speed my friend. If there’s anything I can do, let me know. Even if it’s just a positive message, I’m here for ya.
I own a Mercedes AMG that I don't drive often and my last service was 385 days overdue and I'd only put 200 miles on the car. Hard to justify a $400 oil change.
"On my favourite stretch of road". It appears to be completely flat and straight with a few small bushes as scenery. Am I missing something or is that just how low the bar is for a favourite road in the prairies?
I'm a fan. I mean, not a literal fan, some would say I'm a blow hard but that's not because I'm a fan. Not of yours, they don't call me a blow hard because I'm a fan of yours, or because I'm a literal fan, they say that because... Where was I going with this? Who knows. Anyway, glad to see a video :D

Whoops! I have been talking about the AMG GT a lot recently, and I uploaded this pretty late. Must've been a brain fart. Title is fixed now! Thanks Simon.
It was a punch in the gut to see Tavarish and Ed put down the SLS during Car Trek. It was, and in many ways still is, the pinnacle of "Mercedes" as a comfortable, powerful, and inspiring vehicle. I can easily imagine putting thousands and thousands of miles on that car. I'm glad to see you highlight it in a way it deserves.
WOW! The SLS is such an iconic car! Those gull-wing doors! So cool that you got to drive it! And, congrats on yet another sponsored spot!! I love how you integrated the company from your day job! Awesome!
Except perhaps for the one that inspired it, this is my number one bucket list car. Much more attainable, even at today's inflated prices, than a 300SL.
I'm starting to think that the oil cap isn't a common part between these two cars XD The SLS AMG is astoundingly beautiful, and I'm a bit jealous you got to take out and drive Tyler's. But it's all for having driven the most Car Trek cars outside of the cast itself, so I'll give it a pass! Excellent video as always, Elliott! Thank you!
