    For those commenting about him doing it to himself, just be thankful you or someone close to you has never experienced addiction. Very very few (if any) people with addictions wake up one day thinking "hey today im going to start being addicted to a drug!". The people who made the informed choices were those who exploited someone who needed help and did so for their own greed/personal gain!
    Very sad as he had no intention to end his own life, instead it was taken from him. Even more sad is that this is happening across the world to so many people and has already taken so many loved ones from people 😢

      Agreed. So tired of people coming down hard on victims. You can hate that people do drugs all you like. But in this instance, this is a case of holding people accountable who falsely prescribed and sold a legal drug. Very different.

    This breaks my heart and I'm glad they got them.
    Personally, I am sick and tired of doctors who shove pills at their patients, who are compensated by drug manufacturers. This needs to be stopped as a common practice, and make it illegal for doctors to receive any compensation of any kind from drug manufacturers, period.
    As someone who does not do pharmaceuticals due to lifelong allergies, going to a doctor is useless when trying to figure out the problem so I can treat holistically. They get so angry and disrespectful because you won't take medications that are well known to make you sick instead of helping. Most doctors these days don't care about patients, only how much money they can make off of them. Absolutely disgusting.

    I lost my daughter in May to a fentanyl overdose. Unfortunately she was living in a different state but that lack of contact we got from the police/detectives was frustrating to say the least. Being states away phone/email were really our only ways to communicate with them. We desperately want them to track down how she got fentanyl but we dont get calls or emails returned. I am not denying my daughter had a substance abuse problem but it doesnt change the fact that this is a lethal substance killing so many people. High profile people seem to get much more attention and hours of investigation into their deaths. This hurts because there are so many people wanting answers but it feels like they cherry pick the cases they want to look into especially if it can further their career or put them in the spotlight.

    • @dawnieb.7394
      @dawnieb.7394 26 днів тому +2

      First, I am so sorry about your daughter. I cannot imagine how devastating that must be, and my heart hurts for you :( - I know you are right about high-profile people getting more attention, and I'm sure that law enforcement offices across the country struggle with not having enough man power, resources, etc. That being said, while there are probably many "doctors" out there who will prescribe this drug in too-high amounts to their patients if their patients are willing to pay for it, in this particular case it doesn't sound like it was just a single-person operation; hence, the more intensive investigation. When it becomes clear that it's a network of people functioning as a "ring" in order to perpetuate the criminal behavior, I think it's worthy of more media attention - especially because it sounds like they didn't harm only celebrities. One rogue doctor is one thing; a larger network of people working together to break the law and put people's lives in danger is so much worse. But I do wish all our police forces had the same access to the same resources and amounts of money that they obviously need in order to help EVERYONE, celebrity or not.

It doesn’t always work and it’s easily assessible outside the drs office … mental illness can cause people to try to self medicate and it’s heartbreaking … ruining your entire life just to feel ANY joy out of life and feel worthwhile …

    The enablers who encouraged his addiction are vile & are responsible for the sad passing of Matthew even though they knew the Ketamin was extremely dangerous & to continue administering this powerfully toxic drug was truly evil.
