  • A 7-day summer trip down the Collingwood and Franklin Rivers in January 2013. We flew out via seaplane from Sir John's Falls back to Hobart.

I love your videos, they played a big part in the fact I bought a packraft a few month ago. And I'm also going in tasmania in two weeks, 20 days hike and packraft (grade 2 and a few 3) in the tarkine.

Awesome Stephane. Thanks for your comments. Tarkine will be beautiful - hopefully you’ll get some rain for some good river heights. Are you walking the west coast as well as inland? Such a beautiful area. Let me know if/when you head to Hobart although I will be in NZ for some of our summer break. Cheers!

I will arrive in tasmania at Wynyard airport, but my hike will start at the Murchison Bridge (if I find a taxi who is ok to get me there), it should be a 16 days hike to get to Zeehan, and 4 more days to get to Tullah with a detour to the Mount Murchison.
And yes I will hike a lot inland, and a I will have also the pleasure to hike on the coast.
As for Hobart I will not stop there, but thanks anyway. Nz looks cool, its on my list too. Have a good one!

Yeah mate you make better time in the float plane than you do hauling your raft over boulder portages.
