Quilt Frame STANDS!

- Our first EVER! Homemade quilt frame stands, made by my husband!
Made from pine boards: 1x2's and 1x3's. With carriage bolts and large pins.
They can hold frames as large as 10 feet long, and can be raised to different heights that range from 28 inches, to 31 inches, to the tallest setting at 45 inches high. I like to have the frame at the lowest setting nearest to me, and the farthest end set either at the 31 inch setting or the tallest setting at 45 inches. You could actually use the tallest setting and stand to quilt even for a few minutes at a time.
If anyone would be interested in seeing a video of how my husband built these, please comment below.
Thanks!

A demo video of making them would be lovely!!
Hi! Thanks for watching the video! I'm working on getting that quilt stand construction video going....however, it might take a little time...but it IS coming! Thanks again!
Isn't it great to have handy thoughtful husbands! Great job
It certainly is! Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Yes, I would love to see how he made these, but I would be more interested in buying this as a kit. There is no way I could do all this cutting and drilling in my apartment and not get myself in trouble. Plus finding the pins and carriage bolts would be a pain. Any chance he would be willing to pre-cut, pre-drill, and sell the components?
Yes, I'd love to see the video!
Would really like to see details on how to make this. Thanks for sharing!
02/10/2022 I love your videos and appreciate you (and your husband) sharing your talents with all of us! Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching! I'm glad the videos could be of some help!
Would have liked to have seen how the quilt was placed on the stand. Great frame though.
Yes please a video of how they are made. Thanks
A little info, add a magic marker line at the top of your frame stand where the sliding board meets when the pin is in the hole. The next time the hole will be right where you want it when the line is lined up.
Good point! Thank you!
Hopefully you could put together a kit. If not an instruction video would be great. Thank You for sharing this.
Really helpful 🥰
Thank you for watching! I'm glad this could be of some help!
Thanks

You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
I would love to see how it was made.
Really nice frame. I just bought a frame used and am looking for a solution for keeping my thread and pins efficiently accessible. Everything I’ve come up with so far has been not so easy to use. Does anyone have any good ideas?
You should make them swivel
Great idea!
Did you make a video of how it was built?
No, there isn't a video about the construction of these stands, and although it's been on the to-do list, it doesn't look like it will happen in the foreseeable future.
Ingenious!
Thank you! I love it!
Are the plans available to build the stands? Where can I watch the video on how the stands were built?
Unfortunately, there are no plans, either written or in a video. And we don't have the stands anymore, so we can't pass on measurements.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks for your interest!
What kind of material do you have stapled to the boards? What size of staples do you use to staple the quilt to the boards?
I used an old, but in good condition, sheet for the fabric on the boards.
Staple size doesn't really matter because you're stapling every six to eight inches from one end to the other. I folded the long strip in half and stapled close to the raw edges so I could pin the quilt pieces to the rest of the strip.
I hope this helps! Thanks for watching my videos! Check out some of the others!
Thank you for your response. This is very helpful 🙂.
I would really like to see how your husband made the legs. Height, width and length of the boards
are your husband still making this quilt frame Stand?
Sadly, he is not. But if he ever made more, it would surely be posted here!
Thanks for watching!
How do you load a quilt on the frame. I am fairly new to this. Thanks
I've made a few videos to show how you attach a quilt onto a frame. I hope these help!

Did u have a construction video for the stand
I don't have a construction video of how the stands were made, and unfortunately, at this point,I don't think it will happen. But, if by some miracle it does happen, it will be posted on the channel!
Thanks for watching!
How much are your quilt stands?
This video about the quilt stands was only meant to show what could be made to hold quilts. My husband designed and built them for me, which I then wanted to share how they looked and worked, with anyone who was looking for quilt stands. I suppose if we both had the energy and means to mass produce them, we'd probably benefit quite nicely!
Thanks for watching!
How can they be purchased?
We aren't able to produce any frames as yet for purchase. And we're not sure if, in the future, we'll be able to make any. So unfortunately, as of now, we don't have any.
But thanks for the inquiry!
Do u still sell ur frames ?? And how much ???
I don't have any frame stands for sale, and unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be any available in the foreseeable future. However, please check back periodically for updates.
Thanks for watching!
Where did you purchase the pins?
We bought the trailer hitch pins at Tractor Supply, but any hardware store should carry them. We bought the 3” long size that measures 5/8” diameter. Let me know if you have any other questions...
Thanks for watching!
Hi! We bought the 3" bent hitch pins at Tractor Supply, and are 5/8" in diameter. I think any hardware store should have them, though.
