Every now and then I will play part,s of this song on the CB! And today,s driver,s who ain't never heard trucking song,s from the 1970,s actually think it's a real person talking. My favorite truck driving singer of the 1970,s was Cletus Maggard. He had some cool tune,s fo back in the day! Heck I'm still listening to it.
Great song and I've been using the CB radio for the last 28 years and I've met some weird and wonderful people on the 11 meter band some good ones and some really bad and evil people who where using the CB in my area and I remember in the early 90's it was brilliant fun and some really good memories of the QSO's I personally had it was a brilliant time and good and bad experiences on the CB and thank god that I took the amateur radio licence to get away from the 11 meters and it has been brilliant fun. Stephen M3SNV 73's everybody.
Heck bought my 1st CB back in 1974! It was 23 channel we use ta run on channel 9 at the time not 19! That was the Trucker,s channel not the emergency channel. Like today, hardly anyone even use,s a CB or 2way. I still have my FCC license KRJ3030. Cranky Yankee.
Hi Cranky Yankie I had a CB license as well and I remember back in 1998 and the Radio Agency gave everyone a call sign to use with your handle mine was and still is Shinobi and my call sign was 2F2BX I didn't use it very often because of the band being monitored by the Radio Agency and like I've said before there was a lot of really bad people who took over the UK FM muppet band and some of the people where criminals and gangsters no joke and it was really really bad back then and that's exactly why I took the Foundation Amateur Radio Licence back in 2001 and I have been on it for the last 23 years and I have been on the CB 11 meters for the last 29 years and I still use it now and a lot of things have changed since back then and these days it is very quiet and mostly radio amateurs use it instead of the 2 meters so it is good these days and the SSB portion of the band is really good and there's still plenty of people to speak with and get a QSL card. Stephen M3SNV 73's.
@@helraiser666painkil I remember reading that in the beginning of CB's you had maybe 3 channel radio so you had to swap out the crystals for the channel that you wanted. That said different criminals would flip the receive and send crystal, to get an obscure channel that nobody knew to monitor.
Pointing dog I don't remember the CB radios your saying mate my first CB radio was a Binnatone Route 66 a 40 channel FM muppet band CB radio and I had a Di-pole on the back of my parents house and it worked absolutely fantastic and it had really good receive and transmit and my CB worked fantastic very basic to start with and then I got a President Lincoln 10/11 meter all mode SSB amateur radio and I spoke to all over the world and I have got 2600 QSL cards to confirm my contacts on the 11 meter SSB but I had some brilliant times on the 11 meter band years ago and it has all been great fun mate. Thanks and best 73's for now cheers. Stephen M3SNV 73's.
I fished from a little island every summer from about 1981 to 1991 off the Northern coast of Newfoundland. We had a little community of fishermen and their families used to go there from a number of communities, as the fishery was still good out there. One summer, my Dad and our crew were staying in this large fishing camp that some friends had built many years ago and partitioned into three sections. We had one of the end sections. The middle was occupied by Dave and his wife and the other end by Hank and Bruce. We used to go over to Hank and Bruce's place almost every night. They'd be sitting around listening to the radio, making a pot of soup, playing card games and telling jokes. It was one evening like that we were listening to the radio and one of Bruce's favorite songs came on: CB Savage! "Listen to this one, B'ys!" and we all had a good laugh! Thank you, Ryan, for putting it on here. And for providing us endless mirth many years ago. No TV out there - only radio. Always remember where I was when I first heard that song, probably '83 or '84. :) Brings back good memories to hear it again!!!
That’s right! And yes, it was a long time after the record release that they decided to do a video. But I thought it was pretty funny and came out good for the limited budget they had. I remember going out there the weekend they shot this. My uncle Roy played “Jay”. Good times. I appreciate everyone checking it out!
Until just now when I saw this video listed after listening to the record version on UA-cam I did not know this had a video lol. The first time I actually heard the song was on a CD I had several years ago called on the road again 20 great truck driving songs and no it didn’t have on the Road again by Willie Nelson lol but this song was on there and I actually laughed. It is so funny how the whole time if you listen carefully that song that CB savage they couldn’t understand or figure out who that was was actually a highway patrolman or sheriff waiting to write a ticket for them lol very cool song thanks for posting and shooting the video whoever did the video
🤣🤣😂No comment. I started keeping my CB off one day in 1996 and finally just took it out of the truck and left it at home. It still sits in the office on top of a bookcase tooday. It's a Cobra 25 LTD that was made in the Philippines. I had a 23 channel GE but don't know what happened to it. I was medically retired from driving in 2018.
🤣🤣🤣🙊I think the last time I heard this was in 1991 while I was going through my truck driving school. The first time was in 1976 while on my first tour in South Korea.
I finally found this on here. Heard it on my stepdad's Pandora a few times and tried every search combo I could think of to find this. Turns out, there are A LOT of gay trucker songs out there.🤦♂️
I played this on my radio show on KARM in Fresno as a new release. Gay guys would tease straight guys, I heard it happen. They get so mad and make threats, but no way to know who it is. Anonymous.

In a courtroom, that may be viewed as entrapment and deception. The fine would be quashed and the police officer reprimanded and disciplined.
That guy sounds like a gay person , cb savage is a good buddy
I bet he is a rascal. A good buddy with jagged teeth.
