Super Fun! You're the best Sandra! It's helping sooooooo much!
You have a gift for teaching. Clear and precise in a way I can understand (although english is not my native language). Thank you once again for your effoets to make me a better player.
Wow, thank you! So happy to hear your profit from the tutorials. Keep swinging, my friend!
My first stuff, over 50 years ago, nice gal
Years ago, maybe 50, My stuff was from horn player, horn players play great guitar, thats how I learned.
I love Blues horn riffs. And I always listened more to horn players than guitarists.
I'm still learning from this lesson. Thanks for sharing your vast talent and knowledge. You're the best!
Glad this is useful for you, Gerd!
I ask my friends to check your stuff out, not trying to be sad, just no friends, they are more than capable, just miss the feeling for it. They do listen, just to play with me, thanks.
I´m old musician/teacher with years of activity. You have the best and most adorable lessons on the net. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!!!!!!!

You’re incredible!!
Thanks, Kevin! I'm blushing already ☺️
Sandra, you have an incredible talent for explaining such a difficult subject as Jazz in such an inspiring way that people can follow and understand. Thank you so much. I learn a lot of music theory from you, you open my mind, and what you offer musically is great.
Currently I dig into your Jazz blues in Bb - solo and comping. I love it ! Using your pdfs while following your lessons is so useful. Thanks also for the beautiful backing tracks.
You and your outstanding videos will keep me busy for years. Again thank you so much for your Jazz passion.
By the way, I bought other lessons from you, not to learn them all at the same time, but to follow the videos again and again, looking at the tabs, only memorizing rhythm and melody before I learn the whole thing later.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your kind words! ❤️
Thank You so much Miss. Great Vidéo.
Good stuff. Been trying to "jazzify" Red House and was fumbling by ear -- sloooowly. This lesson will be a great help in that particular misguided mission and nerding up my playing in general. Hope you keep crankin out material for many years. To that end, I've bought the full package for this lesson and will surely buy many more.
Would love to hear that version of yours! Make sure to post it on the Guitarversum Facebook wall if you want to!
This tutorial is a masterpiece! I highly appreciate your efforts and patience. Your contributions to the jazz learning scene is legendary.
Oh wow, thanks so much! ❤️
I agree!
Danke Sandra, das war mal wieder großartig!

Great videos. I would like to see a video on playing a chord with runs connecting to another chord. Just like noodling around.
This chanel is a goldmine😀
Thanks so much Benjamin ❤️
This is the first jazz blues 12 bar blues that I had learned completely and I have you thank. I hope you can do another lesson like this soon.
Didn't I do a solo in F too? If not, I'll consider it.
You are absolutely the best !!!
Thanks so much, Michele, also for your nice email! ❤
My favourite guitar stripped down, 2015 lp. nothing too fancy
I have a 2015 Les Paul, but its a special run with normal specs. The 2015 series had weird specs, like 46mm width nut.
Hello Sandra 👋 Thank's for your clear explanations and useful analysis 👏 it's great !🎶
Glad it helps you. Keep swinging 🎶 🎸
Thanks so much, I needed to know how to use these scales I know so well in this context! Happy new year!
Happy new year! Glad to be of help ❤️
Very clear and very informative video

Oh, danke Herr Schnupke! I'm trying my best and always imagine how I'd liked to be taughed. Enjoy the jazz ride!
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman Yeah, your lessons are great, because you put yourself in a mindset of a student. That's best teaching!
Wonderful lesson. Thank-you.
Thank you! I have a bunch of blues lessons in my Jazzblues Playlist
You are very metodic , detailed and very good and last not least, very unselfish, much love, thank you so muchSandra , / Cheang
❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been working towards this for a long time - using the arpegios - and I guess i need to keep practicing them. An exceptional lesson!
Glad to be of help. Next step (if you can target the chord tones) is to try to bring some other scale tones and chromatics into them. Check out my scale lesson playlist, where I feature licks for various chords / scales.
To me, this was a "beast" of a lesson. Excellent explanation and integration of chords, scales and modes - much clearer now. The documentation is excellent. There is so much packed in here. I spent as much time on the theory side as I did learning the solo. Once I got the mechanics of it, I slowed the UA-cam video down to 75% to focus on the phrasing. Great job Sandra. Thank you!
Thank you for your wonderful compliments ❤️.
I wonder how I sound at 75% 😊
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman It would be great if you could do a lesson on "Green Dolphin Street."
Totally awesome! Thank you as always!
Thank you, Mark! ❤️
Excellent video; I particularly like your video on Tenor Madness.
Thank you, Alan! Keep in swingin and bluesing, my friend 😊
Thank you, very helpful.
For me 29:41
Thank you, very well explained. I always knew mixo as "playing in the 5" (heard Wes Montgomery use it) - what I had previously worked out gels nicely with the progression and its a blend of minor blues , mixo, dim, and Tritone. So I feel pretty good about now.
Great work on this 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for putting your talent out there.
You're very welcome, my friend! 🧡
Love your content. Very good teacher
Thank so much for your compliment! ❤
Great lesson I will have to download when I finish Georgia on my mind.
Thanks and congratulations Sandra ! Very useful and helpful lesson!👏🏻👏🏻👍
Yeah, nice lines! Super lesson, you're a great teacher Sandra! Oh, and I love the way you say greetings! 😂 Cheers!
Hehe, thanks so much Robert for your great compliment! ❤
What I like about this is that it resolves a problem that I have had for a long time. This mixing of the Blues Scale and Mixolydian Scale, when used "right" captures the sound that I am after. To me, is sounds elegant and with those Blue notes, gets a little dirty sometimes. Like someone talking to you using proper language, and then using more aggressive or pensive language to emphasize the words. I love that back and forth and I can hear it in these licks. Wow! Finally! I am not a fan of some of the older Blues language, with that Major Blues sound because it often sounds a bit dated to me and kind of leaning toward Country Blues.
Glad to make you happy and you like it. I think Blues needs a little bit of that dirt, else it would sound just like any other jazz standard.
great vid.. thanks ..love your stuff...cheers..
Thanks so much ❤
another great lesson...thanks so much !
Glad to be of help! Keep swingin 🎶 🎸
YES FOLKS..SANDRA IS THE MOTHER THERESA OF THE GUITAR WORLD,COMPASSIONATE,WITH I FINITE PATIENT,HELPING T H E NEEDEED,THE HOPELESS,DESPERATES,AND SOMETIME TALENTED SOULS,SHE IS THE VERY BEST TEACHER ON THIS PLANET,AND THE MOST GORGEOUS😜🎸

Wonderful teacher!

Great command of English. Great command of American jazz idiom.
Oh thank you so much. That means a lot to me. ❤️ I have a lack of self confidence regarding the English language anyway.
THANK YOU FROM MONTREAL CANADA
Enjoy the jazz ride 😊 🎶 🎸
It came from a great Jazz player in Canada, George Snache, taught me afew chords.
Really helpful lesson thanks.

Well done Sandra! Thanx from rome
Saluti a bella Roma!
keep up your cool stuff kid.
I like your guitar tone!
Thanks! The secret is to NOT roll back the tone much.
Great stuff... explains the theory very well and shows good applications. Thanks so much..
Thank you, Brent! Do you have any requests for a UA-cam lesson (topics, songs)?
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman Hi Sandra... you have a great (now) a great "how to comp" jazz blues in major plus this wonderful lesson on how to go about soloing ib Bb. I am also studying your great "chords/comping a minor blues" so I guess the obvious would be to "complete the duet" here.... soloing in a minor blues. I confess I am swamped getting your existing lessons under control - as much thinking as playing - but minor soloing comes to mind. I got hooked on your style doing the Charlie Parker licks being an ancient bebop freak... the Bird always Flies. Thank you again.
@@brentwheeler2087 But I DO have a Soloing lesson on minor blues up here: ua-cam.com/video/opZFen59-HY/v-deo.html
It uses substitutions, but you can play it over a regular minor blues anyway. The thing is, if you have like two or more measures of the same chord you want to solo as if there are more chords (chord substitutions). So when you play, say, over 4 bars of Cm, during soloing you think of it as if it were Cm7 I Dø G7b9 I Cm7 I etc.
You basically put II-Vs in between. The rhythm section may or may not play those II-Vs, but YOU do and thus create a melodic flow, that has an arc of tension and release. Cool eye? 😊
Chile, South America, she used to babysit me almost, think I am done, keep up your jazz.
Wow
Weee! Fun lesson thanks!
Hey, glad yoz enjoy the tutorials 😊. Keep swingin 🎶 🎸
thankyou, a little scarey, listening to you, you are a great teacher kid, thank you.

Otra gran lección.Voy a comprar los PDF porque me servirán de gran ayuda. A pesar de que no hablo ni entiendo el inglés oral, con las partituras y el vídeo ya aprendo muchísimo con estas lecciones sobre solos. Muchas gracias Sandra!!
Gracias por tu agradable cumplido! Me alegro de que disfrutes mis lecciones y desarrolles tu guitarra.

11:58 lol also very helpful!
Think I ask too many questions, but you do a good job. just listening creates as it did with me, Glen Gould really cool concert Pianist, back in the 60's, I was chosen by a friend of mine in metallurgy/ to do stuff, an award, nothing I deserved, didn't win, but included, that why your music cool, it's up there, thanks.
I don't think I see all your posts. Haven't seen too many posts.
Was never abought me, whether abought anything, so long ago, your channel cheers me up, is all, ego , needs to be absent, when you care. keep up your hard work.
Love your smooth playing and great Jazz lessons! I am a rock, blues, country player and could never get the feel for Jazz until I was blessed to find your lessons! It has helped my overall playing in my regular blues rock licks, just in a short time.Really excited! Started with your Joe Pass lesson and the Jazz Blues Improvisation. I want to buy the PDF tab with backing tracks to get better at chords and soloing. Which one would you recommend I buy first please? God Bless! Rob Ransom Appleton,WI
Thank you ❤️. I think it's better to know how blues works first. Also Joe Pass used a lot of Blues idiom. So you may want to check the blues out first.
@@GuitarversumSandraSherman Your welcome! Which video link please?
