I am not gonna lie, when I came across your channel back in 2019, one of the reasons I clicked on your videos was how similar your color pattern was with that of Qatar airways'. cuz I grew up in Qatar and always wanted to fly the first or business class, I clicked on it, and boy... was that one of the best decisions of my life :) glad to see you still have the same color palette/theme for ur channel and blog and also the maroon shirt u r wearing in this video ;)
Wow! Im planning to fly to the Maldives on points and this video is super helpful! Its almost like you could read my mind! You answered all the questions i had. Thank youuu.

Watch out for married segment logic on QR and other airlines that use Amadeus as their internal reservations system (and therefore their revenue management suite of products behind the scenes). A lot of airlines now show different availability depending on the Origin and Destination (O&D) pairs. If A-B and B-C is available, it does not necessarily mean A-B-C is bookable (or vice versa).
I predict AS will switch to a single award chart either zone based or distance based for Oneworld partner redemptions. The ability to mix and match partners on a single itinerary would be available.
Only the various iterations of Avios can be combined (British Airways, Qatar, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Finnair). Your Alaska miles cannot be combined with Avios.
Hey man I like your informative videos. I was just wondering about something though since you travelled recently, are you able to transit through the USA to Canada if you're coming from a banned USA covid country like China? I'm about to travel and do this coming from Brazil which is also banned but I don't want to get stopped in the US airport along the way.
I came back from Hong Kong (which isn't banned) so yes I was able to transit the USA. If you're coming from Brazil, you won't be able to enter/transit the US.

The question is - why do I have this maroon shirt? Find out soon 😉

July 2022, it’s 200K Alaska miles to fly from ATL to MLE
Not the regions I am looking for but still as a newbie to this I still find interesting ideas in the videos. Thanks 👍🏻
Glad to hear it
Had just seen someone do a Cathay Pacific first class from Hong Kong to NYC and that seemed like a sublime experience..
It’s an awesome experience indeed, and 70K is an incredible deal.
Anita Holiday on the BOA credit card screen shot...classic!!!
Good info to the point.

True, I encountered this (in my favour) when I could find SEA-DOH-MLE using American miles but not the individual segments
Great video. I have enough to make this trip one way but I’m looking at adding more Alaska miles this year. If only you could transfer from Aeroplan 🤔
Go hard at the MBNA Alaska 👍🏼

Any updates on the stopover policy for Southeast Asia? Would really love the Maldives trip with a stop over in Qatar
Solid video Ricky! Keep bringing the 🔥 content
Cheers Chris
Seattle capital of Alaska Air, Starbucks, Microsoft, Amazon, and BOEING.
I have points in Qatar as avíos and some points in Alaska airlines by flying domestic in US, is there a way I can club all the points in 1 ??

The Qatar stopover from Canada to the Maldives does not seem to be bookable from Canada even when not using miles.
Yep I mentioned this in the video
do u like canada or america better?

seattle is the capital of starbucks! LOL
Ricky, is Istanbul or turkey part of middle east or europe? It appears in both in alaska award chart....
Europe
Superb 👍🏻
do you know why i can't find JAL from NRT to any mainland china award tickets from Alaska website?
Award space is probably blocked due to the entry restrictions on both sides
The pillow in the background is slightly distracting
Thank you
You're welcome
Does anybody use Alaska miles to go to Alaska or our Northern Territories?🇨🇦
Going to Alaska can be an excellent use too
Nice
Cheers
I like your hair like this :)
Why thank you - it was time to change it up
