What a great video. You were very well traveled in that short time. Too bad you couldn't get out and watch the eclipse. It really is one of the Lord's great beauties and wonders to behold. I live in Georgia and saw the one in 2017 when it was in totality over us, it was about 83% over us and still cool to see this year.
I would love to see an eclipse like that. They are very interesting indeed! Many believe it to be a sign. The bible did mention signs in the sky. I hope to see an eclipse as you did, some day. Thank you very much for the kind words as well and God bless 🙏
@@bluegrassoutdoors Interview went fantastic. Application was approved and a conditional job was offered. They want me to take my urine and follicle drug tests here in Cincinnati next week before they give me a start date.
Lease purchase remember you pay for gas you pay for your maintenance. You're not the boss just because you are making payments on a walk-in closet. The truck is the boss. Just because you aren't driving doesn't mean the payments aren't due. You really have to have an entrepreneurs mindset. Just things to think about
Great video Dillon. Looking like a pro now 👍. Trying to catch up on your videos. I'm having a hard time catching your lives. Maybe I'll be able to this week since I'm on my second week of vacation. This past week took the family to DC for the first time. You need more than a week to see it all. I'm glad to back home though. On the drive up we did stop to see the eclipse . The kids really loved it. I'm going to try and get some videos done this week to upload. We'll see 🤣. Have a great week my friend and wishing you and the family the best.....👍🤙
I have been watching your post and wanted to say thank you for the insight on rohel. I start in Gary on the 15th of April. I hope to meet you down the road sometime and stay safe out there driver my name is Matt Mears
It's my pleasure, Matt and I wish you the best with your trucking journey! Gary is where I got my CDL as well and I may see you there. I am there nearly every week. I wish you the best and best us know how it goes for you if you don't mind 👍🚛
You might want to stay away from walk away leases, especially if it's offered thought the company. Yes you'll be making more money, but you'll be spending more to maintain the truck. Plus if they dispatch you, they are in control over how much you make. Get some time in, learn the business side of things and go with a 3rd party leasing company. That way if things don't work out with the company you're with, you can take it to another company and keep paying off the truck.
@bobbystokes9269 I was planning to, but they have a strict policy. I recently left there and now I'm with schneider. I'm thankful to learn towing but I was making around half there that I was in trucking, per week. I plan to tow for myself later on, Lord willing. I may do some videos here in the future.
Would you mind covering truckers insurance. Did you have to upgrade your personal insurance or is it offered through Roehl and they take it out of your check?
Do you mean fot the owner operator program? If so, I haven't did that yet. But I am thinking very hard on giving it a go. I'd be happy to update with the insurance information once I learn of it though 👍
@@bluegrassoutdoors Thanks for getting back to me. Im in the process of obtaining my CLP and could not find any information on insurance. How does that work as a rookie? Are we just added to Roehl's insurance?
@Ash-gz9co Yes ma'am 👍 oh, I see what you mean. You aren't required to do anything as far as insurance goes as a company driver. Roehl takes care of all of that.
@@bluegrassoutdoors Thank you for clearing that up! I'm looking forward to school and want to make sure I understand as much as possible before I go. Any advice?
The one guy says he is making $1200 after tax 9 months in. What's the starting pay like also when doing the training program did you get paid during or after the program?
I would say average is $800-1400 depending on the miles. I've been here 9 weeks and my last check was over $1200 before taxes and around $1000 after. My next check should be better. You do get paid for the gycdl program but not until week 3 and it works the same when you go out with a trainer for 3 weeks.
Seeing you being encouraged, makes me encouraged. -Dave in Cincy
