Newest: 2024 Australian 50 cents Oldest: Roman republic As. Circa 1st century BC. Smallest: William and Mary twopence Largest: also cartwheel twopence (funny how my smallest and largest are both twopences) Cheapest: probably an 80’s Australian 1 cent coin. Most expensive: George I shilling from 1723. Cost £68. I’m only 16 rn so don’t quite have the budget for more 😅 Most common: I imagine one of the various Australian 50 cents I own. Rarest: Tokelau royal visit 5 dollar coin. Only 1000 made.

Most worthless coin - Turkish 1 kurus 1969 - coin is worth one five billionth of a cent. Most valuable - 2004 $10 gold pukaki coin - $7.5k (£3350) (size of 5 sovereigns). Rarest also (300 coins), Commonest 1994 US cent 1 of 11 billion. British coins - newest 2023 Charles II 50p coronation and Silver ounce britannia, largest 1797 Cartwheel, smallest 1 penny Maundy (1825, 1835, 1857, 64, 66, 76, 98, 04, 11, 37).
Favourite coin - 1989 British 500th anniversary of sovereign set £5 as its the biggest and nicest version of cod medieval design and its over an ounce of GOLD!! Least favourite - many modern ones but the Australian $1 Aussie Icons and dinosaurs set - I mean a dinosaur called a Australovenator? and a coin that shows actual bubblegum on it!
a very worthwhile video bits and bobs... my rarest coin in terms of mintage figure would have to be the 1951 penny.. My oldest just a 1672 farthing (i have no interest in hammered coins) and my smallest a third farthing (16mm).. I don't really know about most valuable but i would expect a 1694 half penny.. My least valuable will be the latest 1p --its buying power is far less than the 1967 1d was (or indeed the 1967 half penny).
Let's see. My oldest is a farthing from Charles I (a private issue on behalf of the crown). Rarities - I have a 1928 wreath crown, 1944 silver 3d, and a South African Republic half crown (1892 double span on waggon). It's hard to pick a favourite design. Gothic Florin, Edward VII florin, William IV half crown are contenders
I am starting to understand why they stopped minting silver 1d for general circulation :D My smallest coin is an USA 3 cent (14mm diameter) and the biggest is Siberian 10 Kopeks (whopping 65 grams of copper)
My most 'hated' coin, may be the -harry potter black lake 50, what a mess! The design seems very poorly conceived. An example of just because you can do something doesn't mean you should! My favourite is much more difficult. Possibly my Celtic Silver Stater, or my Ancient Greek Tetradrachm with The Sun God on the front...
