Motorcyle Diary: July 24, 2024 (Penfield, Rankin, Armstrong, Potomac, Rantoul Honda Rebel 250)

My longest trip yet: about 100 miles though a section of east Central Illinois (Penfield, Rankin, Cissna Park, Potomac, Armstrong, and Rantoul). I had my first experience riding in the rain (not on purpose).
Some of these little rural towns are doing much better than others.

Indeed. It's a lot of fun. 65 is as fast as I've gotten it to go, and that's plenty fast on that little bike.

My, motorcycle chain came off today so I've got to get a new one, I think I've stretched it too much. I've never split a chain or fitted one so I'm going to have to try doing it myself.
