Attack and release are concepts that come up very often in all these tools. A part of me thinks, well, it doesn't hurt to have these controls, and just set them to 0 by default, but a real part of me wonders why the heck we'd want to compress a sound whose decibel level is below the compression threshold, for example, or why we'd want any loud sounds above our compression threshold to sneak through with a non-zero attack conversely. Anyway, just musing about, thank you so much for all your informative videos, I've been getting so much out of them!

Well, I have watched several of these videos. Very cool stuff. I love the electronic vibe. Its something I think I would like to learn to do. However, after watching these, I am still pretty mystified and intimidated! I think it would help me to have videos for mega-ultra beginners. They would explain things much more slowly. It would have them also in steps where we could stop the video, do exactly what you did and follow along! The automation in particular is something I really struggle with. It gets me super confused!
love your stuff, just gonna put this out there... LNA does audio stuff: All About... should do a crossover episode with Stonx: Ableton deep dive. Im not involved with either, I jusyt love when similar YT ch's do cross over episodes
In my 'back to basics' phase/retreat. What confused me about auto-filter, and still does (being a guitar player by origin) is that auto-filter (and auto-wah) are pedals with movement in them , but the auto-plugin display shows no movement from itself, it only moves when you turn the knobs, and that's not 'auto' (Latin for 'self') at all. So my shallow mind tells me it does not work. Even (!) the LFO does not cause any movement at all. So me no use AF. Who to turn to? Liina, of cause. I understand now, but I don't agree with this dis-not-play ;-)

Hi, I have a doubt, how works the envelope if I use negative values ?

Truth told, in the end I re-animated auto-filter in the automation lane. Dance, animation, dance! Now you see the wow!
