Charlie's songs are legendary. He really does write them himself. And like the character, he claims to not understand chords, keys, etc. He just plays them. Charlie Day's parents were musicians, and he grew up around music.
This one is a classic. the image of lil kev laughing is basically immortalized on the itnernet. even the actor who played him is shocked by how many people know him as "lil kev" as opposed to any of his many other roles.
Charlie is a musical genius. For the show, he typically has a joke he's trying to get across with the lyrics, but he improvs various takes of the song to see which is funniest (his songs show up in the bloopers a lot). But on the podcast, the dude is ALWAYS playing instruments and just creating new songs on the spot. It's super impressive. Both of his parents are music teachers, I believe.
I love that Dayman moment. It must be so hard to write a scene that not only genuinely captures what a moment/spark of creative inspiration feels like so well, while also hilariously marrying the stuff Dennis liked with the stuff Charlie liked earlier in the episode (The aah-Ahh-ahh's kill me), but with material that is absurd and would totally get made fun of. Fun fact, if you look at Charlie's drawings, they actually do translate into the lyrics he sang (the first section). Also, to get a bit dark, all of Charlie's Nightman stuff can be potentially tied back to his suppressed childhood memories of being molested, which has been hinted at in previous episodes.
"Awwww, he was just having fun, watching his show" "He really liked it too" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Nightman is actually my alarm sound lol. "Dayman! Fighter of the Nightman!"
The “nightman” is a person from the show…wont say who but its someone you’ve seen but havent seen for a while. You dont have to go back and look…eventually you will realize who it is and dverything will make sense
Let me say says *ZERO* about you guys. If anything the perfect reaction. They are deplorable but if you are honest it is funny. Sadly after you just ask why. Easy answer not only is the real world darker but the rough shit is easier when you can laugh. Love these reactions.
Soapbox time: I think the main issue with the whole r-word is that it refers to an outdated theory about mental development and so it carries a bit more baggage than just calling someone "stupid". In this episode, though, it totally makes sense that these guys would throw the word around like that; it's just who the gang is. Soapbox done!
You 2 have to be from Toronto right? Nobody would wear and have that much Raptors merch without actually living there, because nobody outside of Canada likes the raptors for some reason.

"Are they gonna make FIRE right now?!?"
yes. yes they are.
🔥🔥🔥
Dennis pushing away the spray paint sock is greatness
Charlie offering some spraypaint like it's a cup of coffee
@@Maghan98 its similar in intention
So subtle. So good.
Whats funny is the lyric sheet really does match the song 😂
Haha does it actually? I’ve gotta rewatch it. 😂
@@PhilipManzano you gotta think like Charlie, but it makes sense once you stare at it for long enough
The Nightman is born

Yes humbuckers are real. They are a type of pickup for a guitar lol.

Haha that’s pretty dope. Excited to hear more from him in the show 😅

Canadians are so nice. This show will be hard for them :)
CHAMPION OF THE SUN!
Bands cover Dayman. Charlie played Dayman at The Hollywood Bowl with Portugal.
And if you watch the video, yes, that is a sex doll of Dennis. It's a long story the show will eventually get to...
Haha that is wild!

👀👀
Most hilarious episode of the show, by far.
"Day Man" reminds me of the Flash Gordon theme by Queen.
Haha yes! The “ahh-ahhhss” do it for me.
Dayman is SUCH a good song
Guitar pickups come in two flavors...single coil and humbuckers.
Yes, humbuckers are real. They use two coils to cancel 60 cycle hum typical in single coil pickups. It's a weird name, but they do exist.
They buck away the hum. Like a horse can buck a rider off.
Haha thank you!
Nightman…sneaky and mean 👀
Next few seasons are TOP TIER

Lol “are humbuckers real?”
😅😅
And welcome to when people get annoying about a fairly good joke
DAY MAN!
Wait till u see the NightMan Cometh episode
