Either way whether you get it or not you definitely DEFIED GRAVITY Hannah!!! Still be proud of yourself. Being an audition pro with acting & singing is always not easy. I've slowly learned that its beyond my control on how the performance went. The people behind the table DO want you to succeed. It's just an opportunity that they're getting to know you. Keep working hard and keep persisting for this Ensemble or other orchestras out there too Hannah. Don't give up!!! You're still Hannah Lee, the finest classical musician in our hearts and all of NYC!!! Giving you a standing ovation for still DOING IT. Brava!!!
Besides, more opportunities are coming in..... first of all, congrats 54 BELOW DEBUT this month with the IN TROUSERS concert (with Ashley). Welcome to the club!!!! You're going to love performing there. Gotten to sing there twice.... such a fun intimate space. So excited for you both reuniting!!!

I'm proud of you Hannah, you have your feet on the ground. My mom always told me and my sister that "if you don't get it this time, something better is waiting". This was a good video and I loved the brownstones in DC and the food looked yummy. Oh, I love your pink nails, good color on you, plus your DC shirt is awesome.

Dude amazing job at the audition!!!! Especially that you stayed so calm and took your time! I’ve been in that situation so many times (I guess I’ve done at least 15 auditions) and for the majority of them I panicked so bad that I didn’t even remember much about being in there that’s how in shock I was 😆 so you should really be proud. And as you know it takes lots of practice and lots of auditioning experience. You’ll get into an even more suitable orchestra or band soon! I hear there are smaller orchestras in New Jersey (I’ve met a violinist from New York here in Sydney and she told me she’d recommend me if I ever move to New York) anywayyyyy well done. Also the fact that you took the time to vlog, I’d be wayyyy too nervous just before the audition. Oh and the waiting until finally getting into the audition room is the worst isn’t it?! Anyway keep practicing and all the best from Sydney!!!

Wow, you gathered some amazing footage while in DC. I really liked the sweatshirt you picked up while you were there. As you know…God has a plan for us all. I am glad you tried out and had an awesome experience. You are so sweet. That’s the way to keep that chin up!!! Was wondering tho…how often do they have the auditions? Every few years seems pretty far apart…I guess they have them when need be??? BTW…always try to be the very first…you get it over quickly, not to mention, the Marines are impressed by this…I know because my brother was a Marine…maybe has nothing to do with this at all, just thought I’d share. You take care of your fine self…did Ross like the ice cream?

Hi Hannah 👋 This is extremely interesting.🥀 I had to research a bit about The President Own Marine Band. If I understand correctly, if you were picked, would you have to sign a contract with the Marines and move to DC? If I'm reading correctly, The Marine Band is stationed at The DC Marine barracks and they perform at hundreds of functions. And the Marine Band doesn't under go basic recruit training but you would still be required to live under Marine Regulations ? Perhaps you can clarify exactly what would happen if you were picked for The Marine Band!! 🌷🍒 The Air and Space museum looks to be a place a person could spend half a day visiting! You have some great clips of The US Capitol, Washington Monument and some park statues. ! 🎈🐶 Thanks for sharing this and making a wonderful effort at the audition ! 🌼. Fun fact: Members of this band are one of only two of the military bands (and every band has several) that don’t have to do basic training!
@@therealhannahlee Wow 😳 We had no idea that you had an interest in a military life.. !🌹 The band is very impressive. Performing at White House functions, welcoming dignitaries , military honor events etc , would be an incredible experience. You would have had to tell Ross that now that you're a Marine Band Officer, he has to be on his best behavior!! OR ELSE !! 🍭🍎.
Just think of the experience you gained. There’s going to be other auditions you’ll have and there’s going to be one that’s meant to be. Would you have had to move to DC?

I live in MD, but travel to NYC a few times a year. The DC Metro is much newer and cleaner than NY, but it’s a lot more expensive.
I admire you for auditioning for the Marine brand. I know what a high hurdle it is.
Do you take lessons? There must be a lot of good clarinet teachers in NY.
They could help you with your phrasing and breathing when playing the higher notes.
Thank you! I have a master’s degree in clarinet performance and took weekly lessons for years while I was in school, but I don’t currently study with anyone. 😊
