I had an absolutely fantastic experience throughout this course. The core concepts that Keerti taught us, the examples and especially the way she explained everything with relevant industry example was the key that drew me into the learning process. I won't say that I know everything now (obviously because that comes with more and more experience) but I definitely don't have the fear of it anymore and I have that much confidence that I can handle HLD problems now.
All thanks to Keerti for making this possible and for providing a learning platform to all of us. I am quite sure that the LLD course will also be a blast and full of knowledge.

What type of whiteboard were you using ? Can you please provide us the link of it ?
What's the point of all that capacity estimation? Just show off ?
Selection of database depends on the capacity estimation in real life and also in the HLD
need more such long, clear and intense HLD videos that covers lots of points about the whole system. More cross-questions make it great since at every point it brings out multiple directions to think for better design choices!

in chat application i think consistency is utmost important because we don't want to skip any messages because it could create confusion among the people.
How will the sending push notification work, I mean is the user is not connected to any web socket handler, does the application will send some information while running in background that the user is still connected to network, and using this information, the notification service will be directed to send a push notification?

Nice video but more indepth discussion around system issues like fault-tolerant , resiliency, latency , db schema , db queries was missing
superb cross-questions asked by the interviewer between timestamps 35-40 which add lots of insights!!
I am having a questions , as discussed in above video as client 1 is sending message to client 2 frequently so we require cache, but what is point of web-socket then , as web-socket will it self keep the connection active till both are communicating ,isn't so what is the role of Cache service here
how to opt for system design course?
Nice explanation and in depth discussion of each and every topic posing relevant questions and all. However in the cache part of connection handler, if the client's connection is changed after the message is put into kafka as posed by you, then cache functionality won't be served and also, cache needs to be updated with the latest info which is not discussed here. If we query cache next time, then it shows client2 is connected to handler1, whereas it is actually connected to handler2. So, it needs to be updated from Connection manager right?
