My dear husband has dementia and Parkinson’s disease and he doesn’t have long to live. I have been in mourning for over a year. I would really like to have this sung at his funeral. What do you all think?

Wonderful cover, Emily. There's no denying Billy Joel's original is an absolute classic. Your very subtle change of slowing the tempo just a fraction and keeping the instrumention stripped back to allow your voice more space takes the song to another level. Brilliant.

i noticed with EL's cover of AWSOP that she was slightly down tempo ...... and it had a very dramatic impact on the song..... as with this one - i believe Billy would 100% approve

I don't know why, but this made me cry.
I think it's a little bit of her piano playing, the words of the song, and when she sings it sounds like she is right there near you singing the song to you. She is not trying to show off her power, or hit notes that are hard to hit, she just sings the song the way it was intended.
