Not seeing anyone point this out: 1. Timothy's details and dates being inconsistent does NOT outright prove she is lying. This happens to several people who are assaulted or go through extreme trauma; furthermore she said the date on her photo was incorrect, which can happen to literally anyone. I have a photo of a chicken i downloaded that shows up as 2001, even though I definitely did not download it in 2001. 2. Timothy not continuing contact or not going to court immediately after the fact also happens to many victims and does not mean they did not need help. Many do not speak out because they are afraid, and many have not even processed the fact that what happened to them was traumatic. This does not mean she is lying just because she took a while to make her statement. 3. Melanie originally stated that "[timothy] never said no to anything we did together" which is NOT completely consensual as Timothy never gave Melanie a solid confirmation of consent, which does back up Timothy's claims of being pressured into having sex with Melanie. Without a "yes" nothing that took place was never consensual period. 4. Circling back to point 2: Timothy claiming she was close friends with Melanie, and Melanie claiming otherwise does not contradict either of their claims. The way people view each other can be very different, and just because Timothy thought they were close, does not mean Melanie shared this sentiment - However, this also does not prove Timothy was lying about her relationship with Melanie. I have also seen the photo floating around of Timothy dressing similarly to Melanie, and if she wants to dress as somebody who she was close with, that is her decision and is irrelevant to this case. If she was still in contact with Melanie, or even still processing the trauma of the event when this photo was taken, it wouldn't surprise me. 5. My fifth and final point: regardless of Timothy's past, and regardless of whether or not you think her side is true; nobody deserves to be harassed on such a grand scale like this. I have not personally seen any hate thrown towards Melanie during this situation in the same way that it has been thrown at Timothy, but to be quite honest with you, this is not helping any victims out there. Claiming Timothy is lying because she cannot remember the dates is harmful to victims. Claiming Timothy is lying because of a previous mental health issue is harmful to victims as well as extremely ableist. Claiming Timothy is lying because she did not go to the police is harmful to victims. Yes, by all means this should be sorted out professionally instead of over the internet - but people are always going to have opinions and are going to take sides regardless. I would recommend looking at bradtasteinmusic's thoughts on the event, as well as to look into more info for yourself to get a bigger picture of the event.

Why I think Mel is innocent: 1. The clothing timothee said she was wearing was actually from a year before this happened. 2. Timothee took photos of Mel when she was “in a blind fold” or when Mel didn’t know. 3. Timothy posted 2 pictures of Mel, and blocked out certain parts of it (worse cause they’ve been posted w/o permissio. 4. The CP allegations. So, Mel has also been accused of drawing cp (child corn) and I also believe she didn’t. For example, the thing she apparently drew was this drawing of crybaby and a twin, a version of this was edified to be naked and cp… and another time she was accused of cp is when people took notice of the “Soap” album cover, which if you don’t know, it’s crybaby in the bath submerged in bubbles. Which I personally thing this one is super stupid because you can see any inappropriate parts, or any thing like that. 5. As I’ve said, when Timothy was interviewing daily mail, she said a certain date, crybabies looked through Mel’s insta posts and found that they were each in another country. I discovered Melanie when I was around 12-13 and it was post allegations. I didn’t hear about them until about a year after being a fan and I didn’t rlly think much about it until getting recommended a video from Crow (Piper Sweeney) “debunking” the allegations and I believed it at the time. After revisiting all of this about a year ago I realized how terrible that video was and Timothy never lied and there was never any evidence to prove Melanie’s innocence. I’m glad that other Melanie fans have grown up and are now being more supportive of Timothy. It’s insane that we just took Melanie’s word and didn’t ask her for any evidence. Timothy Heller is innocent of being a lier and Melanie Martinez is guilty.

A similar incident occurred with me (of course, he wasn’t famous) and it is very hard to tell anyone the story detail by detail as your mind just kinda scrambles in panic during the moment- instead of remembering details all you can think about is the consequences- how you want to get out, etc. I told the officer he was wearing a white sweatshirt but it was actually black, maybe Timothy mixed up dates, doesn’t remember exactly what she said, and so on. Just something to keep in mind. I’m not going to take sides this early but I don’t understand why you would lie about something like this. It’s just too serious.

Not seeing anyone point this out:
1. Timothy's details and dates being inconsistent does NOT outright prove she is lying. This happens to several people who are assaulted or go through extreme trauma; furthermore she said the date on her photo was incorrect, which can happen to literally anyone. I have a photo of a chicken i downloaded that shows up as 2001, even though I definitely did not download it in 2001.
2. Timothy not continuing contact or not going to court immediately after the fact also happens to many victims and does not mean they did not need help. Many do not speak out because they are afraid, and many have not even processed the fact that what happened to them was traumatic. This does not mean she is lying just because she took a while to make her statement.
3. Melanie originally stated that "[timothy] never said no to anything we did together" which is NOT completely consensual as Timothy never gave Melanie a solid confirmation of consent, which does back up Timothy's claims of being pressured into having sex with Melanie. Without a "yes" nothing that took place was never consensual period.
4. Circling back to point 2: Timothy claiming she was close friends with Melanie, and Melanie claiming otherwise does not contradict either of their claims. The way people view each other can be very different, and just because Timothy thought they were close, does not mean Melanie shared this sentiment - However, this also does not prove Timothy was lying about her relationship with Melanie. I have also seen the photo floating around of Timothy dressing similarly to Melanie, and if she wants to dress as somebody who she was close with, that is her decision and is irrelevant to this case. If she was still in contact with Melanie, or even still processing the trauma of the event when this photo was taken, it wouldn't surprise me.
5. My fifth and final point: regardless of Timothy's past, and regardless of whether or not you think her side is true; nobody deserves to be harassed on such a grand scale like this. I have not personally seen any hate thrown towards Melanie during this situation in the same way that it has been thrown at Timothy, but to be quite honest with you, this is not helping any victims out there. Claiming Timothy is lying because she cannot remember the dates is harmful to victims. Claiming Timothy is lying because of a previous mental health issue is harmful to victims as well as extremely ableist. Claiming Timothy is lying because she did not go to the police is harmful to victims. Yes, by all means this should be sorted out professionally instead of over the internet - but people are always going to have opinions and are going to take sides regardless. I would recommend looking at bradtasteinmusic's thoughts on the event, as well as to look into more info for yourself to get a bigger picture of the event.

So, Mel has also been accused of drawing cp (child corn) and I also believe she didn’t. For example, the thing she apparently drew was this drawing of crybaby and a twin, a version of this was edified to be naked and cp… and another time she was accused of cp is when people took notice of the “Soap” album cover, which if you don’t know, it’s crybaby in the bath submerged in bubbles. I feel bad for Timothy, and it's sad that she didn't fully understand what it meant to post a sensitive accusation online at the time that she did. Idk if she understood or not, but doing such a thing usually means one life must go down; this is the internet. If she really just wanted to acknowledge and call her out, she would have done it directly, or just written her abuser as anonymous because usually for artists, things like this are a scale of destruction. I discovered Melanie when I was around 12-13 and it was post allegations. I didn’t hear about them until about a year after being a fan and I didn’t rlly think much about it until getting recommended a video from Crow (Piper Sweeney) “debunking” the allegations and I believed it at the time. After revisiting all of this about a year ago I realized how terrible that video was and Timothy never lied and there was never any evidence to prove Melanie’s innocence. I’m glad that other Melanie fans have grown up and are now being more supportive of Timothy. It’s insane that we just took Melanie’s word and didn’t ask her for any evidence. Timothy Heller is innocent of being a lier and Melanie Martinez is guilty.

If this did happen, it is terrible. But we have to look at this critically. We can't just accuse people of committing atrocities, because that can land innocent people behind bars.
With critical thinking in mind, she didn't use this video to actually talk about the incident, she just used 6 minutes essentially making us feel bad. A similar incident occurred with me (of course, he wasn’t famous) and it is very hard to tell anyone the story detail by detail as your mind just kinda scrambles in panic during the moment- instead of remembering details all you can think about is the consequences- how you want to get out, etc. I told the officer he was wearing a white sweatshirt but it was actually black, maybe Timothy mixed up dates, doesn’t remember exactly what she said, and so on. Just something to keep in mind.
