Dobermans are listed as the 5th smartest Dogs on the planet. And as a Dobe owner I can say it must be True never met one that wasn't smart! Beautiful boy
I'd say the smartest are Belgian Shepherds (Malinois, Groendaal, Lakenois and Tervuren) by a huge margin, then poodles, GSDs, Border Collies and Dobes about even. But its really case by case.
@@daniellewillis2767They are the 5th smartest dog in the world. They are trained easily and also one of the best family dogs, And they are super fast but not like a grey hound. They are not aggresive but have a Crazy bite force, and usually have more muscle than others under there thin hair.
You seem like a great owner, except for the cropping of the ears. That's a selfish practice
Shut up, mind your business damn.
I love the cropping 😍
The cropping of the ears helps dogs hear much better if they have floppy ears, betcha didnt know that did ya?
@@belmontpaul6855 I’ve actually heard the opposite… I thought the ears (without crop) helps to prevent unwanted sound and help protect the ear… but what do I know. I’m not a vet.
It’s always someone complaining stfu lol
It’s his dog
I remember teaching mine at that age. They are ravenous and learn so quickly because of that hunger/growth. Good, consistent tone!!
Well my dog never listen to this day he doesn’t know shake

@@tio3431 : Belgian Malinois’ are my favorite breed in fact. This is not my list but rather the “dog experts.” They have the Malinois listed at 26th in Intelligence which I firmly disagree. Personally, I would place them in the top 10 between 5-10.

Lol mad
Look at those paws!! ❤ my heart. What a cutie. Good job training him young too! People often wait, but starting training around 8 weeks helps so much. Especially, when you are raising a big, powerful dog.
So precious
If ears were supposed to be cropped they would be born like that.
I think it looks great!
Yes it is cruel and unnecessary surgery for vanity sake if someone did that to a 2-year-old child because they thought they would look better with a cheekbone modification or had saggy eyes or something everybody would call them monsters and evil people but since it's a dog it's okay.

@@jrozay3788 what is the point of this question? So weird.
Lots of love and time. Great connections start at young ages .
Oh my goodness! He is so handsome 💙😇🐾
@@akmilli8179No, he's handsome especially since his ears are cropped. Natural-eared/natural-tailed dogs of breeds that are traditionally cropped/docked look like 💩. Cropping them makes them look so much sharper and more regal.
In England we are not allowed to crop their ear or tail as its animal cruelty.
And that really is a good thing.
I'm glad we don't have that stupid restriction in the US. The cropped and docked look is the doberman standard and gives the breed its distinction.
I had dobwrmans for protection. And sadly cropping of ears and tail is necessary to make it safer for them to do protection work. The tail gives their mood away and also is somwthung criminals hold onto. Ears too. And the look , beleive it or not, just that look of a doberman can stop a criminal in its tracks.
America needs to get with that same mentality
England should be more concerned about its cruel and inhumane policies that have caused human suffering, genocides around the world
Ohhh my gosh. he is so cute, and smart!
Also why did you have crop his ears and tail that's just cruel.
Seriously 🤨😒
Ear cropping is unnecessary but tail cropping makes sense since they have brittle tails which they can injure
Ear cropping actually is beneficial since if you don’t crop it a dog can potentially bite it’s ear off and it can lead to an infection. And it’s easier to have since you don’t have to check for fleas or ticks
the dog would probably get ear infections if his ears weren't cropped
do research
He's so adorable the little doberman 🤗💕
Such a good personality, you can see he's going to be loving family member . 🫵😃👍
I miss my Doberman, you have a beautiful puppy right here.

I will be so happy when people stop mutilating their dogs and cats!! I hope whoever posted this and the dog owner reads this and takes that to heart! Stop ear and tail cropping and declawing!!!
He has read others comments on other threads here, but he doesn't care.. makes excuses and such...
I absolutely agree with you!! Especially with declawing!!! No one can say; "according to the AKC", (or whatever) it's a must have for show(and no, it is NOT acceptable for ANYthing. This part is for others who don't agree, that may read this! Totally cruel!! AND barbaric!!!
As long as there are vets doing this...
the dog is fine hes not being mutilated LMAO
The tail is a quick process, and they do it when the pup is only a few days old, so it doesn't really hurt the dog besides at that moment. But it's quick healing.
But the esrs are different, they take longer and a more painful process, it is a real pain at the vet when they have to change the banged.
So I think the tail is fine, but not that ears
Get yourself a hamster, and keep the Doberman conversation to those that know what they're talking about.
He is not only smart but very big. God bless you both with many years.
That's 1 smart pup 😊

I have 2 dobermans and they are very intelligent and my female had puppies everyone wanted one.
Hell yeah I love when they learn fast and this little guy will probably open doors and stuff when he is older mine would let himself out while I slept the bugger
He's a cutie!
I remember when my baby Doberman was that small ❤❤
Most people hate cropping of the ears but its extremely important, especially for gaurd dogs like dobermans. Dobermans are breed to be gaurd dogs. Their job is to protect against any threats, including, other dogs. In areas where crime rates are higher, criminals have been known to carry their own dogs, like pitbulls or rotties, for intimation to streal and rob. People who live in those areas might have a guard dog such as the doberman. As you can see, that puts dobermans in a dangerous places with other dangerous dog breeds and criminals. But since their dobermans, its their job to protect. Thats why many people crop their ears and crop their tails to actually protect them. If dobermans had flappy ears, other dogs will be able to bite and even rip off their ears in a dog fight. But with their ears standing tall, its harder for other dogs to do that, therefore protecting the doberman. Same with tail docking. Dogs (and even criminals) have been known to grab the dobermans long tail to control them in intese situations like a robbery or a dog fight, so docking tails also protects them in that sense. So since dobermans are natural guard dogs and they have a high chance of being in dangerous areas, cropping and docking is very important for them in the long run. And the surgery plus the bandages for ear cropping is not that long of a process so doberman puppies arnt even annoyed by the bandages. Another reason cropping ears are important for dobermans is because their very active dogs. Dobermans are one of the most active dogs so their always running around. With flappy ears, dobermans have been known to get blisters on the sides of their face because their ears are always hitting against their sides of their face. So cropping also protects against that. And i also have a doberman myself. And after the surgery process of ear cropping, my doberman loved his new ears. You can tell he felt more light weight. So even though it looks bad, trust me, its important especially for dobermans. And all dobermans end up loving their new ears.
Gorgeous Doberman my pup wasn’t so food driven but smart asf some commands I didn’t even have to train her she just picked it up the first time I ask her too

His paws are huge!!!
Wonderful pooch!
I’ll say something positive, since PETA showed up…I appreciate how much you love your dog. He’s a happy boy!! And very smart!!! You’re teaching him his basic commands early so he doesn’t turn into a tyrant! Good job 👏 on good doggy parenting!!!
That’s what happens when you start early with training. Most dogs will do this doesn’t have to be a Doberman just people are so lazy nowadays that they don’t take the time to train their dogs. This person is outside that spectrum of course and I commend him for it. We need more people that care and want to take the time to Care. Which in my experiences is more important nowadays because if you care and don’t wanna take the time to do anything about it then you’re just as bad as the people that don’t care.
Now if we can just get more folks to start training their kids cuz honestly I'm rarely effected by someone's unruly dog but y'all's kids that's a different story
Look at those Scooby paws! Such a cutie!
My doberman wont even sit down unless she wants too-

Did you know the ears and tails are trimmed just so they would not display emotions and appear more formidable? The dobermans I have known were smart and sensitive and we loved them a lot.
Ears... Why?

@@thatdobermanDiezel because its stupid.What you don't understand?😅
Those with very long, floppy ears and those with long hair on their floppy ears are most prone to these infections because their ears hold moisture in and do not have very good air circulation.

He is smart and beautiful.
Docked his ears ! Should be ashamed! All for looks!
Too bad you had his ears cropped. I worked for a vet for several years. The ear cropping procedure is extremely cruel and painful for the dogs. It is a grusome unnecessary surgery that no animal should have to endure. Let's crop your ears then see how you feel about the process.
It's not cruel or painful, I've learned from vets who do cropping and I've followed peoples journey with their dogs, after 4 years I can say it shouldn't and doesn't cause pain in most dogs.
Tex's ears are fully healed in this video. What you see aren't bandages but a technique called "posting" which helps set the cartilage in his ears to the upright position. He's not in pain but enjoying life
That is such a bunch of crap. I witnessed many ear cropping surgeries. It is a gruesome procedure. If you believe it does not cause pain and trauma you are sadly mistaken and not living in reality. It is unnecessary, unnatural, and painful. I know that the tape shown in the video is there to keep what remains of the ear in the upright position during and after the healing. Again, I've seen many of these. Maybe next time ask your vet if you can watch this porcedure. You'll have a change of heart. Mutilating animals for human's idea of what the ears should look like is inhumane. And, Palet, your dog would be loving life even without those cropped ears. It's you who needed them cropped, not him!
@@johnorabone6112 I doubt it, I've watched plenty as well, I've also watched a dog get spayed and neutered, it hasn't changed my mind. Cropping is just not painful, 1 out of 10 dogs who are cropped might feel a little more than uncomfortable but it's not suffering pain, nowhere near that. The only time I see them acting different is after waking up from anesthesia but most owners have reported that their dog after a day is absolutely normal and not looking to be in pain at all.
You won't change my mind especially since I've been learning about it for so long, pro croppers have given me more educated experiences than the anti croppers, I've even asked vets about this who crop they have made my opinion very solid.
@@Palet it doesn't matter whether it's fully healed. He was still in pain at some point during the process because you wanted your dog to look cooler.
I just lost my doberman in March the progress of him is so cool
“Yes” good boy.
