PaperTonne I know this is late, but oh well? Personally, Nagisa is the best choice for him. I read a UA-cam comment on the episode, where Tomoya proposes to Nagisa. It stated everything clearly. Yes, Kyou is a good character. Ryou genuinely cares for him. Tomoyo wants to give him the things he needs. Kotomi can emotionally help him. But, Nagisa is all of those things. Nagisa, not only receives help from Tomoya. But she also gives it back to Tomoya. In the other girl's arcs, to me their relationships felt unnatural. Tomoya never truly solved his problems. He was always solving the other girl's problems. With Nagisa, that's different. They are both weak, but together they are strong. It is shown, that without Nagisa I believe that Tomoya would've never truly smiled. He would've never been happy. Even in the VN, Nagisa comes out to make you feel guilty about not choosing her. Even collecting the wishes, gives you the true ending of the VN. Nagisa and Tomoya helps each other and grow together. Frankly, I just saw a mainstream love story with the other characters. With Nagisa, it's different. Emotionally and physically as well. In the end, Tomoya saved all the other girls. But who saved him? Nagisa.

Tomoyo could have been a good second choice with a focus on found family, but Tomoya needed healing around his dysfunctional family life. Nagisa's parents was the family Tomoya always wanted, and creating his own family was what he needed to accept his own childhood.
Aleksandra Miljus i didnt really appreciate nagisa until i saw after story. but still kyou is the best for tomoyo and imo best character :D idk ive always thought of sunohara being more suited to tomoyo cos of the early beat up scenes.

when i first saw this episode, I was like "what about nagisa??? this is cheating! this is an outrage!" I get it now, this is if nagisa and tomoya never met. And it just makes me SO GLAD that they DID meet, because Kyou is so annoying. So is Ryou. Nagisa is the only person i can ever see with Tomoya, and nobody else will come close.
