@@TrailBlazinTV Hike to the top - my preference is Crags trail. I just like it better than Barr Trail - just preference as I prefer less switchbacks. Have driven before pavement and the previous cog that -let’s just say - ignorance was bliss.
Been 4 times, 2 before the upgrade, 2 after. Gotta say the train feels less comfortable after upgrade, but the visitor center is really nice now. Last time I went was 2023, when my brother came to visit. We saw a couple banging on a rock, on the way up. They looked surprised to see us as well.😂
Hey near neighbors! Trying not to be all stalker and such but my spidey sense puts you on the east side of academy in the village7/garden ranch area - can tell by the architecture. I am on west side of academy in the garden ranch wedge (you probably get the reference). You can find me any given night walking the pups around pulpit rock as I have been doing with all my puppy’s long before university park was built and known as the Houck estate given we usually walk from the house down montebello to the drainage that takes you in. Of course you know the caretaker ruins - right? Honestly not sure about the new trails city and uni put in for the bikers - the evil imp in me would like to see them go down the old community trails that went straight up the bluff (literally). Yes it should be singular. You pointed out the best dogger spaces. Loved the video.
Yeah it takes you to the summit of Pikes. The incline only goes to an eastern flank of the mountain to an elevation of 8,500. Let me know when your in the hood again!
❤

We were there in September, drove to the top, and saw the cog train parked at the top.
