Movie icon. Pure 1950’s and yet the most futuristic robot ever built.
Robby the Robot back in action
Dear Santa... 😁
Built like a 50s caddie, awesome. 🎉
Where's my winning lottery ticket damn it!?!?! ....Lol
Behind Robby the 40s style head used in the episode "Uncle Simon" of The Twilight Zone.
2nd best tv robot... # 1 best TV robot: The Lost in Space Robot... and that's all I got to say about that.
Both designed by the same guy: Robert Kinoshita!
I would reverse the order on that, but the beloved B9 runs a VERY close second place
I certainly wouldn’t have bid on Robby if I hadn’t been shown the the glowing blue lines in his “mouth” didn’t light up when he talked.
Both “Robbie” and the “B9” Lost In Space robot were designed by a a Japanese man who designed washing machines.
WONDER ROBOT
1:10 I see "Uncle Simon's" head on the left!
I wonder if he still has all his other different heads and other modifications from different films and shows.

FANTASTIC 😱😍🥰❤️
Is the same one that was at Stars of Cars Planes of Fame museum in LA? If so, I saw him back in 1973.
Yep, this is the original suit that was seen in Forbidden Planet, the Invsible Boy, the Twilight Zone and many other shows in the 1960s and 1970s.
So cool!!!!
Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow powerful
Wish I had the money
The two paddles under the spinning globes on top aren't moving .. They should be moving nor are the keyboard thing in the front inside the dome
i think they only move when he speaks
@@robert-brydson-1 Or then he sees Anne Francis.
@@Ease54 or the Doc, remember he didn't identify as male or female !
Is it being auctioned off or just on display?
It was auctioned in 2017 for more than 5.3 million dollars. www.bonhams.com/press_release/25037/
Noisy!!
Noisier on set, I believe all dialog had to be re-recorded because of all the noise he made
Cora😇
MADE IN JAPAN
Robbie was 'non binary' --It will fit in well in todays categories!
