4 remakes I can kinda forgive because of the story elements they pursued. Playing as Victis in the final dlc I can kinda forgive. but activision and treyarch not injecting more resources into the ending of this story and making graphic novel cutscenes, and not cgi, when this franchise makes billions, I cant forgive.

I really dont have a problem with visual novel effects, I mean look the one in der eisendrache, that was cool it looked like a comic, but tag cinematics are absolutely horrible, they are only static images with no life dude
I can only agree with that statement. To be honest there wasn't much Treyarch could do. I blame it all on Activision. Being so greedy and not letting Treyarch at least give us a good conclusion for a 10 year storyline just shows what kind of publisher they are. The error was the true ending. It encompasses everything Black Ops 4 has been so far up until this point. I couldn't have laughed harder at an ending that should have brought the community to tears.

Bevsworld04 I always saw it as poetic of how we keep replaying the mode and how much we would not want to let it go, a literal cycle, for us and the characters and I’m not sure they ever had to make it more than that, we could’ve gotten a Great War playable section in some fashion to round everything out for Bo3 but that’s about all the more they could’ve done to appease people, I always thought Rev was a good ending and now people are gonna be such fucking hypocrites that hated it before, it’s wild to me

This is what the whole storyline was coming to. A big disappointment. Between the budget cuts and the introduction of the chaos story, aether was going to fail. It's so mind boggling how bland this shit is and yet it makes millions! The zombies story has always had this crutch most would call "the air of mystery." Which is used to not have to explain anything or give a good reason for it. There is simply no good reason for any of the plot holes. It's laziness. It's always been laziness. There's no rhyme or fundamental rule that's obeyed. It's all lazy writing. Sorry for the rant. It's funny how I'm pissed at this yet knowing damn well this was what I was going to get.

Seriously? There’s so many contradictions and loose ends in BO4. Almost seems like they wrote it out map by map instead of planning it out like in BO3. That secret trophy better be an alternate ending or else this is Game of Thrones level of bad ending. And for those saying that the trophy can’t be that because it’s bronze, may I remind you that Mob of the Dead’s EE was also a bronze trophy

The writing was likely done map to map . Craig Houston didn't have the ending written down by the time alpha Omega came around. With the budget cut , sounds like they could only the the story they could tell left.

Egor Endgame was ok I would’ve rather have seen the original 5 avengers physically over power Thanos rather then just have tony out smart him. Still a pretty good conclusion but there could’ve been more in endgame, same here for tag der toten.

I expected a badass Avengers like final battle where the combined power of Victis, Ultimis, and Primis defied all the odds in order to take the power of the Aether from Monty.
And once they began to lose, Samantha comes in to even the scales and Rev Richtofen with the staffs as well as the original four from the first cycle we saw in BO3 came in to help finish the job.
Then all of them use the godly power of the Aether to create a world and a realm where it is untouched by 115 and they all live out the lives they have desired.
Instead I get a budget thanos ending where everyone dies for no fucking reason even though they didn’t do shit in the first place, Richtofen (both) seemed incredibly complacent for what their characters are, Samantha’s OG Powers are never used, and I don’t get one but assembling against Monty in an awesome boss fight.
And also, no CGI Cutscene.

You don't need a giant boss fight at the end of anything to make a satisfying story. Sometimes all you need to do is end it.
Plus your comment about using the Aether to make a new world without element 115 is weird cause 115 is made out of the Aethers energy.

did it really? i feel like fans are just forcing the upset, i felt nothing with this new bullshit stop motion artwork, i felt 0 emotion throughout, the saddest i was during bo4 was when richtofen died in Blood of the dead, and probably because the CGI has so much more meaning to it, atleast for the last ever aether cutscene treyarch why couldnt you atleast for the last one make the whole thing CGI, you ruined my 9 year zombies experience, major disapointment.

Timestandingtime no he didn't😂. He just agreed with what monty said at the end of revelations when he said primis were the reason for all the chaos. Why would Monty, who's obsession is to be an omnipotent being and gain strength from the cycle, be on board with being banished to the dark aether. The only explanation is that this ending was all a massive plot hole, storylines were abandoned, many questions never answered. It was always gonna end like this when they decided to finish a big ass 10yo storyline in 1 map, and even at that they chose a remake map that is not even played on by the main chatacters🤦🏻♂️

That cutscene was heart breaking to watch. My chest was filled with sadness and I couldn’t help but cry. I love my babies, I’ve been on this journey with them since Kino. The way the story ended over these past months wasn’t what they deserved. Who knows, It may not even be the end but hey, that’s just me trying to have hope.

Wow it’s all over, how underwhelming. A cutscene that gives us nothing, and a boss fight that’s not even a boss fight. I was hoping for an ending with the Primis and Ultimis crews against Monty as a boss fight, with a ORIGINAL map and NEW wonder weapons, with an ending that lets us feel satisfied; like an accomplishment that was ACTUALLY an almost decade old build up; but this was just disappointing, and felt like all these years of maps and EEs were for nothing.
@jason blundell There were supposed to be 4 aether maps, but due to Activision, it had to be reduced to 2. Also, the zombies team had major budget cuts mid-season, and they had to lay off most of the team, hence the alpha omega and tag der toten cutscenes.

I've been pretty optomistic with B04 zombies, despite the MAJOR flaws and problems with the game. I would lie If I didn't say I had a blast at launch, diving into the first three maps and then later on getting Classiffied and the eventual DLCs. While Alpha Omega wasn't what most people were excited for, I had a blast and enjoyed it, thought it was fun. Not really commenting specifically on the ending here story wise (though, my initial reaction/2nd watch of it aren't negative). Seeing that error here and hearing Milo say he's not going to say anything, really made me think how much nicer the whole release and conclusions to Bo3 was. Even if you didn't like Revelations, it was cool, unique while still paying homage having all the parts of old maps. And then Chronicles dropped and the community felt great and happy. I honestly think Bo3 was the true conclusion to Zombies. I've enjoyed/had fun with Bo4, but I keep returning to Bo3.

I remember seeing my cousin and my friends playing Kino der toten back when i was young, i remember my family couldn't afford to get me a xbox 360 so they got me a wii, my cousin got me black ops 1 and i played Kino on it, at first i couldnt understand it at all but i eventually could make it to round 4 and stuff, i remember my first time reaching round 10...the good old days, then my cousin got bo2 and there i went to love zombies, i got a xbox one the year it launched and 3 years later i played bo3 zombies...playing with friends and completing the easter eggs and looking at Bo4, i think i had the perfect childhood

What a lazzy ending. No excuses. EVEN with bo3 i had closure. This is just pathetic. AND This is why YOU DON'T buy season passes.
What do you expect, Activision fucked over Bo4 so badly. They fired people, cut funding, and to make it worse, they made multiplayer into a casino. Activision doomed this game from the start. I'm %115 sure that the zombie devs wanted to give us extremely well done maps and an amazing ending, but they couldn't because they just didn't have the resources. So at least be appreciative of the fact that they tried their best to give us good ending to close out the Aether storyline.
Pretty sure this is a direct response to Revelations. At least that closed with a stable paradox that came full circle. But the fans wanted more Aether, so the cycle was broken. Beyond that, the multiverse is full of endless possibilities, meaning a final ending was impossible. No matter how many battles and wars are won, there would always be something else at the edges to keep fighting against. Maybe Monty and Shadow had a mentor that would return. Maybe the Apothicons were just a servant race to yet a larger threat. Maybe there's a secret society made up entirely of Samanthas. Endless possibilities. Impossible end. As Nikoli said at 13:43, their very existence is what's messing up the multiverse. So the only way to fix things, is to end it.

The ending makes sense because like he said Richthofen couldn’t come to terms with them dying so he kept the blood vals, that was a yikes so dr Monty sent them do it over the right and they finally did but with Nikolai as leader.

The elemental shard was a piece to the agarthan device, used to break the summoning key and break the paradox keeping zombies going, used to get Pablo to the great war and used to contain the apothicon blood, hope I helped 😁
