  • In 1981, four people were brutally murdered in the drug house of the Wonderland Gang in Los Angeles. A new MGM+ docuseries, "The Wonderland Massacre & the Secret History of Hollywood," goes into the unsolved case. Executive producer Michael Connelly and director Alison Ellwood join CBS News to discuss the making of the series.

It is officially because they couldn't get a conviction and there are a lot of unknowns.

@@WithoutRemorse12Ed Nash pled guilty to racketeering and the wonderland murders were attached to the Rico case. That closed it.

Nash was allegedly the mastermind behind the Wonderland murders, but was never convicted, despite multiple arrests and trials.[4]

@@WithoutRemorse12Wikipedia incorrect. Nash finally pled guilty to a Rico case in 2000 to put everything behind him. There was no individual charge he was convicted of in the Wonderland Ave murders. Attaching it to the Rico case was the last shot to get Nash to accept responsibility. He has no choice but I accept that deal.

@@WithoutRemorse12 Nash went on trial 11-1 for conviction. Turns out Nash bribed the holdout with 50K. The perps are known. Just about everyone associated with the case is dead. Case is solved but never proven in court.

Now that Scott is dead, RIP, it's even more difficult to find out if there are individuals that took part in the massacre and that is still out there. His story was quite remarkable, he was present when Holmes was beaten up by Nash', he took care of the drug dealing business when Nash was in prison, the Liberace connection and so forth. I was looking forward to a book by Thorson dealing with the Wonderland murders. Sad it will not happen. But the story continues, I'm sure of that.

This is true. If there's anyone still alive who was one of the killers in the Wonderland house, they're going to have to at least nane the names. But the cops have never done that. It's long over.
