I like the fighter concept, but I would recommend reducing the winner bonus from 15 (a 50% production bonus) to 25 (17% roughly). That way the fight still matters, but it would not dictate the outcome of the battle itself as it does now. Well, hopefully anyways. Even a 17% bonus is pretty massive.
after watching some, the only thing I'd suggest is having the production time reduced to maybe 25 or even 20 for the winner of the soldier fight... have x2 production is kind of a guaranteed win lol
The rules of the battle mechanic are unclear and its implementation is poor. We can't tell what the damage the two 'fighters' receive and deal is based on, and the flat 100% increase in fire rate becomes a grotesquely disproportionate factor in the outcome of the battle. Some better explained mechanics of the fight (perhaps different 'nations' having different fighters with different parameters) would greatly improve it, and the amount of fire rate boost being dependent on the fraction of remaining health of the victorious fighter, for example, would result in the battles being less one-sided for the side that won the initial duel.
Why does yellow have such a huge advantage? Seems fixed to me. This used to be way more fair. Not impressed to the point that I might unsub. And obviously whoever is on the right side wins. Just ridiculous.

That would definitely be better. And it wouldn't be too late to change things due to this series just starting.
