A parent said to a doctor, "My child won't eat vegetables". The doctor replied, "Your child isn't hungry, when the child is hungry it will EAT the vegetables".
When I was little, I'd always had broccoli as a side dish with a burger instead of fries whenever we ate at a restaurant that served burgers. Broccoli was one of the few vegetables I could eat when I was little. I was a picky eater, and I still am a picky eater. Part of that is because of my autism, and how certain textures bothered me.
True on the autism part, I prefer tender stem broccoli. I do eat veg, but I admit I'm guilty for buying one bag of pork scratchings a week. Not much of a lamb eater, so my family buy an extra chicken so I can have Sunday Roast with them. I just tell Ken (fake name, my stepmother) what veg I want. Example, I'll tell her I'd like cabbage and cauliflower cheese.
I Have Austin Too, I Was Picky With Some Vegetables, Until Later In Life I Started To Try Peas, Tomatoes And Cucumber, Now I Actually Don’t Mind Them At All.
I also have autism about 4 years old I was very picky with some vegetables I would just eat broccoli but not other veggies and my mom used to sneak chopped carrots and peas into my chicken nugget that she made and did not realize until I bit one, now I'm 18 and ok now with any vegetable
This is powerful. But I remember my mother and how she changed it "If you don't eat what I give you you get an ass whoopin and you don't eat!" So I didn't. For all of one night, got hungry as hell, and ate what she made me.
I would try a bit of food therapy to make trying new and healthy foods something fun. I know one of my nephews is on the spectrum and never eats anything except for most types of cheeses. The food therapy didn't work for him trying the food, but it give him the idea of wanting to make food as an activity. but hey, every kid is still different For me, I used to eat everything according to my dad, and when I was 7, I started hating foods like mushrooms, swiss cheese, olives and artichokes because of the smell and taste.
Man, just seeing this PSA makes me really glad I've reformed in terms of eating habits after a visit with a bariatric surgery specialist my mom strongly recommended shortly after she finally retired. I started my journey after my visit in May of 2024 at 270 pounds and I'm now down to nearly 250 as someone who just turned 36 a tad over a week ago, but I've still got a long way to go and I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!
Yeah. I might just adopt one instead having to go through the whole process. After all it would be the better option considering that your helping a kid.
My parents were stern about my food habits. No soda or sugary drinks. Unless it was half juice and half water. Cutting down the sugar. The desserts and sweets were cut down too. I only got them once in a while but spaced apart. My parents were very stern of no soda and also how to make me eat healthy food. Although that was funny. They lied and said everything was chicken which I ate. The only things I really didn't like was certain citrus food. Oranges and such. But that was because I cannot stand the smell. Even now I hate citrus smells.
0-5 years : Are you trying to poison me ? 6-13 years old: It's kinda good that green salat 14-18: I love it it's really good 18- over: MORE, MORE, MORE
If I ever have kids (which is already unlikely) they will know the dangers of not eating enough and not eating healthy foods. And I'll lead by example. If healthy foods are the only thing they know, they'll eat the healthy stuff. (if you want to use the dishonesty route, tell them pizza will make them sick. For me it's not even a full lie as I did get sick off pizza once)
ugh I hate these spoiled brats running around making a scene about cookies at the grocery store. I will only shop at night and never at the beginning of the month.
When I was a kid, I ate vegetables. Peppers, cucumber, carrots, peas, as long as they were raw, I’d eat them. But my parents also taught me moderation. Getting McDonalds once every two weeks wasn’t gonna kill me, as long as I ate some healthy stuff for dinner the other days, or at least just have some vegetables and fruit on the side. The grandma in this, and the parents from the Rewind the Future ad, just suck at doing their jobs.
To be fair, the mom here was at least trying to be a good parent. Rewind the future? “Oh I was told I needed to make a change? Nah let’s get him food at the drive thru instead”
@@DeadAccount33 Oh, the actual MOTHER here is actually trying. “I’m not gonna give her Fruity Squares for breakfast”. I was talking about the Grandma here. “Can you help me out here?” “I’m allowed to spoil my grandchild”. I totally agree that the mother here is way better than the Rewind The Future parents.
it sucks to have that kind of child, I used to eat everything when I was younger and I started hating foods like olives, swiss cheese and mushrooms when I was 7. What's worse is having a child who never eats anything
My baby brother is three and goes through the same thing, and it seems like he just eats junk food as well, and only eats a little bit of his vegetables.

The mother is so strong no matter what the people say now you go feed her that broccoli because it will save her life unlike Jim
I like to think that he is still alive in this timeline, Also I just realized something: The mother of the kid is jim's mom

My mom was the same.
But I wasn't that picky so it worked out.
Minus the hitting, sure.
Why do people even have to post garbage like this?
Same except she gave me huge portions of various unhealthy foods
It’s scramble eggs for cooking home meals, it’s delicious like at the IHOP
Thank you so much for posting this

So much better than the other ad
@Logan DeMott yeah
When I was a kid I almost never asked for any sweets at the supermarket and barely ate any of my Halloween candy.

That’s why I’m not gonna have kids

This mother has an enormous amount of power and control over her daughter. No wonder she's misbehaving.
Why are these videos so hard to watch HH
