In our latest homestead video we share buying our new Polish Chickens and getting them home to their new setup. We then skip forward 3 weeks to show you their upgraded home and their first day in it. I'm excited for you. I never thought of the chicken wire being extended on the ground from Fort Clucks. That would make it harder for critters. Love the hair on Polish Chickens. Thumbs up 👍

They are so prone to predators we wanted to try to pull out all stops. The Polish is a great chicken. We plan to add another breed as well but the Polish are amazing.

I am looking to put in a camera system to be able to watch at night or get alerted if something is moving around down there. See how I over do things. lol We are loving having the chickens. We love the chickens. Once it get past the build of the area they are very easy after that. Plus good free eggs. Eggs continue to go up in the store so it's good to know we have them fresh and ready when needed. I for sure highly recommend chickens to anyone.

Gets me out of mowing a hill and goats can bring in some good cash for bottle babies. Working that side hustle man. lol
We have chickens. One is a rooster we named him Moe. He does not like when I am in the backyard and makes filming at my tiki bar a little noisy. I hope you don't have all roosters! lol. Have fun with them.
Nice on the name Moe. Made me think of the 3 Stooges. lol Funny on the tiki bar. So far just from a check and what I can tell it looks like we got 5 hens and 3 roosters. So that must be like a tractor supply. We don’t have those here. Awww cute baby chicks. Great idea about the wire on the ground. Jessie said that’s an old trick. I’m not a homesteader so news to me lol. Wow they grew so darn fast!! That’s crazy. So is there a big difference between polish chickens and regular ones? I’m outside and the sun is kinda washing out my screen. Are they fuzzy? It’s cool you got some chickens for that taj mahal coop lol.
Yeah sort of like a Tractor Supply on the roids. lol They have a massive selection most of the time. I do like buying more from Tractor Supply though. They are better at sexing chickens. Yeah I helped on a farm as a kid and we always did them that way. That was many years ago. So for sure old knowledge. lol The are 100's of breeds of chicken. Even the Polish has several different breeds in their set. The difference comes in with temper, eggs production, and being brooty. Meaning they fight to keep their eggs and hatch them. Polish are a middle breed which makes them easy to handle. They are very nice and produce about 200+ eggs per year. So not near the most but about right for what we want. Yes the will be very fuzzy as they grow up. Look up white crested polish and that is what 4 of these are. You can find pics everywhere. We are glad to have some chicks in there after all the work. lol Thanks for watching y'all.
