I feel like this isn't so much of "missing the point" as it is "going overboard". "Missing the point" sounds more like whataboutism or just a completely off-topic argument. The examples here entail blowing the issue out of proportion, rather than targeting an incorrect/irrelevant issue.
How does this compare to the naturalistic fallacy? All the examples in the video go from an IS to an OUGHT.
Interesting point. This fallacy might overlap with the naturalistic fallacy, but it seems that it is just coincidence that all of my examples demonstrated that one as well. Good catch.
