Pandora Vex ua-cam.com/video/LTC8_64u4HE/v-deo.html I think he means this video? But the created said he used texture skins for eevee his clothes and mewtwo
I've seen no one talk about this but I noticed something interesting while trying to catch combo eevee: The more of one type of pokemon you catch, the easier that pokemon gets to catch. After at around 100 eevee caught the circle was down to green and it stayed in the ball every time, making a catch combo really easy to do. Idk why no one else has even mentioned this, bit it's something I found interesting.
One time,I used a lure around the second gym and I saw a shiny tiny rattata.i was so excited, but I ran into another Pokémon and it dissapeared OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF
For charmander only if you build the combo can go to rock tunnel where the geodude master trainer is and abuse the ladder to reset since he has a force spawn point near ladder on both levels, got two doing this
okay i dont get my luck... i try for charmander for hours (lost count at 1k seen) but as soon as i refresh my catch combo in viridian forest i encounter a shiny bulbasaur... confused but happy lol
The first time I tried for shiny Charmander with this method, I found a shiny Rhyhorn instead and decided to catch it after I accidentally triggered the battle with it (I already had shiny rhydon so I didn't see a reason why catching it, but then I ran into it, so I was like yeah okay, might as well) The second time trying, after two full hours I FLEED my second shiny Rattata because I'm full of those already. I think Charmander just hates me.
And, if you're chaining hard to catch pokemon it's good to know that every single one has a little animation they use right before they flee, so you can run away before they do and keep your catch combo if you know what the animation is and are paying attention. Saved me a whole bunch when I was chaining Chanseys
I don’t know if this has been reported on yet but: I caught ~100 level 45 Staryu using ultra balls, decided to just use Pokeballs to see if I could catch and ended up with a green ring, from what I have tested on other species, if you catch more of a certain Pokémon it gets stupid easy to catch them
I have started to farm pikachus in order to get candies for my starter. At first i only got yellow rings with regular pokeballs, but as time goes on i am slowly getting green rings once in a while. I'm not sure whether or not this is a separate stat for every pokémon specie, or if it is based on the total amount caught, but yeah i would like to find some more info on that as well. I also noticed that whenever i got some specie candy from pikachu, at first i was getting them in batch of 2, now i am getting them in batches of 3. Not sure if this is permanent or catch combo related though.
Once you catch 100 they get become very easy to catch. I caught over 100 chanseys and now she has a green ring by default (yellow with a regular poke ball)
I noticed around 50 they start getting easier. So the bigger the combo the cheaper pokeballs you can use and are more likely to catch on the first throw
@Jake Des Yes, except it's not a catch combo, apparently. If you break the catch combo chain, the "easier to catch bonus" remains. It's either related to the number of times you caught a pokémon of that specie, or the amount of pokémon of that specie you sent to Prof Oak.
The better you catch pokemon the more likely you are to get candies and such. Higher catch combo increases the odds. Ive caught multiple of the same pokemon in a row have gotten 30 normal candies, 10 Ls and so on. And when you catch 100 of a species, that pokemon has 100% guaranteed catch rates, making it even easier to farm for candies. Obviously not every catch will give you rewards, but more often than not will you get big rewards.
Worth noting as well, the 1ish% encounters like the Starters and so on also seem to only appear one at a time no matter how much you chain them. So all chaining does for rare pokemon is ensure you get at least 4 good IV's out the box + the candy and EXP multipliers. You can also beat the gym leaders again as well as Elite Four for $$ if you want to do it the expensive way
@@Verlisify Ah maybe I was just unlucky? I tried to combo Bulbasaur the other day and no matter how high combo went it seemed to always be one single spawn per cycle. I have Pika but at one point the Butterfree were more common lol.

I literally just organically ran into this tonight. I'm attempting to shiny hunt a Charmander and have been dreading its incredibly low spawn rate then after I caught 4-5 of them BAM it started spawning near instantaneously on Route 3. I can't walk from one side of the grass to the other without another one appearing. Still now shiny but this explains well why the spawn rate jumped so high all of a sudden. I thought the spawn-rate tables on the wikis were just wrong about this area but listening to this it makes sense. Normally these rare spawns happen to tempt you to break your catch combo but in this instance it isn't working because the rare is what I'm chaining LOL.
Does it mean, if I build a chain of 31 on a random Pokemon in Viridian Forest (lets say Weedle, which I don't encounter all over the place anyway), I can actually go through the game with forever increased odds of shiny (as long as I don't break the Weedle chain)?
I don't know if this was already stated somewhere, but when you get an large combo (for me it was maxed out at around 100) the pokemon get much easier to catch , even high level pokemon will become than green rings for a normal pokemon
Nothing official about this yet, but rumors say that it's a permanent bonus once you catch many of that specie, and breaking the chain won't affect this. Apparently.
I love this guide a lot! I know it's... 1/341 chance of a shiny with the 31 combo... Are lures absolutely necessary? Do they make Bulbasaurs spawn a little quicker after you encounter & then run away? I wanted to see how many I could get in a hour ( 1:44am-2:44am ) and got about... 143 Bulbasaur encounters without one. I DID find a shiny about... mmm... 130-ish or so? Maybe more but I wasn't counting them earlier in the day... But it was a Weedle so it was Wasted. I just started this new game and wanted to do Shiny Starters and challenge myself in finding them. Any tips/hints? I looked online and found you can't get lures until beating the 2nd gym and I'm not sure WHEN you can go back to Viridian Forest.
I’m 99% sure that catch rate improves with a catch combo. I don’t know what number but i got to like 150+ on a vulpix chain and their ring was more green than the ratata i would accidentally run into
I don't understand, Charmander supposed to spawn with a 11 Combo, if i catch charmander i will lose the other combo and charmanders won't spawn, what I'm supposed to do?

I don't get it. Doesn't the combo break after catching a new pokemon? If so, once we get a combo of 11 on eg caterpie, we go catch a charmander, the combo is broken and it will take forever for another charmander to spawn

Did that with charmander in rock tunnel. Just used the ladder after entering to make him spawn on different floors. No luck. Trying again with the shiny charm soon
I have been on a catch combo of 31 and growing, now 62 cause i got bored just encountering and decided to catch them too, on charmander for 9 freaking hours. Charmander does NOT like me today, i am having no luck at all.

If you are comboing a base evolution and catch a mid evolution does it reset combo thought a tuber caught Nido ran and nidorino in the same combo but I could be mistaken.
Hey Verlis, can you explain something for me? Ive been seeing alot of videos where people have gained a chain by catching charmanders, but how is that even possible? Doesnt charmander only spawn after a chain of 11 and doesnt it only spawn 1 per grassy area? If im correct, doesnt the chain breaks after chain 11, when you catch a charmander and charmander will not spawn anymore? So how do alot if people get a chain combo by catching charmanders?

Watch my rare Pokemon guide to see how those spawns work
@@Verlisify Will do, thank you.
@@Verlisify Hey man. I wanted to say thanks for all your help. Between this video and the rare Pokemon guide you directed me towards, I understand how shinies work now. I did catch my Shiny Charmander by following this video. I got a chain of 31 Spearow and encountered every Charmander I saw. Eventually a shiny just spawned and I caught him. Thank you again for your help. :)
I was doing this method of hunting for a shiny charmander but didn't now if it worked because it was taking for ever to find a shiny
Im like 1700+ encounters and still no shiny. Im at this point where I want to quit but i've gone too far to quit now
I've been trying for the last 2 hours and still nothing. No shiny anything.
Same here, really want the shiny bulbasaur but been here about 2 days and nothing
So it ended up working. But it took about 6-7 hours over the course of 3 days.
I've been trying for 10 hours to get a shiny charmander and still no luck. I want to quit but at the same time I want to just keep trying until I get since I've already put so much time into it.
For Pikachu and eevee are you supposed to catch 31 of it or 31 of caterpillars or weedle
I don't get it. Doesn't the combo break after catching a new pokemon? If so, once we get a combo of 11 on eg caterpie, we go catch a charmander, the combo is broken and it will take forever for another charmander to spawn
i was getting a combo for a caterpie shiny but i saw a metapod shiny
\
I was going for ponyta and got a pidgeotto
I was going for bulbasaur (I’ve been hunting for 3 days) and I’ve found shiny pidgey, bellsprout, 2 weedles, a kakuna, and two metapods. Still no bulbasaur
Pyro Flare I'm jealous, I really wanted a shiny dratini, but recently I've had really bad luck with shinies so... 😅 (I swear I will find it one day)
Pyro Flare are you trying to get a living dex?
I was going for a shiny ponyta, got a shiny psyduck instead
so to get a shiny chamander you basically have to run away from every charmander cause i want one to transfer one to sword and im getting stuck (+ he talks to fast) so i need someone to break the guide down for me
You make the absolute BEST Pokemon videos and BEST Pokemon guide videos on all of UA-cam!!! Thank you for your hard work Verlisify!!! I LOVE POKEMON LET'S GO!!!
I have yet to catch a shiny, I’m still in the story because it’s too good to rush!
what I do is is use a lure in the while getting the catch combo and for some reason u could get fast shinys
Thank you very much, you help me a lot , from Germany
Mee too.
So just have a chain of 31 with any pokemon and u can shuny hunt ANY OTHER pokemon?
How many should you chain? Is it like normal 31 or should you go higher for better chances?
31 is the top for a chain. You can go higher but it doesn’t help
I got a 31 catch combo with Caterpie in Viridian Forest and ironically found a Shiny Caterpie then caught it, but I was looking for a Shiny Bulbasaur. Do I need to start a new catch combo to get a shiny Bulbasaur? Or do I just need to keep looking?
This guide helped me to get my shiny charizard^^
PaintedFox Just Catch The Charizards In The Sky Lol I found a shiny That way But Junk stats
Thank you so much!!!
Found a shiny charmander with this method 😍😍
Question/help wanted. So I did this for about 5 hours on a catch combo of 31 weedle. I ran into the charmander and ran away. I had a lure active most of the time. Periodically I would fly up to route 4 or go to the bigger patch of grass on route 3. Have yet to find a shiny charmander. I am currently on a catch combo of 5 with charmander, hoping to get to 31 or higher. Any tips? Was I doing something wrong? I know rng is a bitch sometimes lol
so I have max candy on both bulbasaur, and charmander (second shiny). I have no way of understanding why squrtle is so hard to even catch combo. how would you do it? would you look for multiple squrtle before you start catching?
Legit this helped after the start I got a shiny charms set after 23 encounters
Did that with charmander in rock tunnel. Just used the ladder after entering to make him spawn on different floors. No luck. Trying again with the shiny charm soon
You mention hyper training, have you gotten any info regarding bottle caps?
I say how to get bottle caps in my competitive guide
Does it counts if your combo is higher that 100
Cus if it dosent then ive messed up
Wait so catch combos increase the chance for any kind of shiny to appear?
Another poketuber said shinies have rainbow around them is that true? Like, in the overworld they have rainbow sparkles?
I did notice that! I started seeing quite a few Bulbasaur earlier when I was catching weedle
I have been on a catch combo of 31 and growing, now 62 cause i got bored just encountering and decided to catch them too, on charmander for 9 freaking hours. Charmander does NOT like me today, i am having no luck at all.
So if a Pokémon flees you lose the combo?
So basically, if you have a 31 combo of weedle, every single pokemon has increased odds of shinyness?
Basically yeah. Lures help a bit too. And don't forget shiny charm once your pokédex is full.
Does the combo shiny rate apply to all Pokemon or just the one you've combo'd?
so this is definitely chok full of really good information. its a bit of a lot to unpack ill admit; But very good information nonetheless. this is also very well worded. hats off to OP this is definitely helpful.
Thanks. I try to be as knowledgeable as possible before making videos
Your video definitely reflects that. Very informative 10/10.
If you are comboing a base evolution and catch a mid evolution does it reset combo thought a tuber caught Nido ran and nidorino in the same combo but I could be mistaken.
Nah, i personally confirm that catching a Haunter breaks the Gastly chain.
Do you recommend to go for the 200 specific candy?
Thanks this really helped , little new to the game and your guide was step by step
wait does hyper training work in flat battles or does it revert to the pokemon's original IVs
Just got a shiny charmander using this method it worked thank you for this vid it helped a lot
does this method work with bulbasaur as well? is there any way to prevent other spawns but the charmander/rare encounter spawns?
idk how good it works but if they do a cry with out attacking that means they are about to run
If it's difficult to get Eevee's, just catch a few hundreds and they will always have green circles : )
