Just got off a road trip to northern Oklahoma near Ponca City and over to Wakita where most of Twister was filmed. Every local we came across had the same thing to say about Bill Paxton: Super cool guy, easy to talk to, nice, friendly etc. Not much else about the rest of the cast. In Wakita, (at the Twister Cafe) 2 locals came in just as we arrived; two elderly ladies. Both were congruent in what we had heard about Bill Paxton in Ponca City, him being so easy to talk to. Played football and basketball with several neighbors while filming at Aunt Megs and downtown Wakita. They both said the rest of the cast (being from California and Hunt being from NY) just kinda stayed to themselves. Bill Paxton having the southern hospitality being from Ft. Worth was really a pleasure to be around. Thought that was neat. If you ever go visit, be sure to check out The Twister Museum (about to be sold to storm chasers who are going to run it) and The Twister Cafe! Lady had just opened the Cafe and I told her Aunt Meg's Gravy is a must for her menu - she just might have it soon!
Doesn’t seem like this man is gone, his legacy still thrives even after all these years. He was the kind of guy you could run into randomly and remember his brief interaction......we miss you greatly! R.I.P. Bill
i'm assuming this was shot right after the movie came out in the late 90's right??? thanks so much for sharing...it's one of my all time favorite's..not to mention i love weather a lot...i really hope they do a sequel

Bill was one of my best friends in the 80's. Worked on many of my song videos. Amazingly kind and sweet guy...

Sounds like this was shot around 2011 as Paxton mentions shooting 15 years ago, he is also visibly older than he was in the film.
