Geralt knows it’s too difficult to avoid getting bitten by the invisible super fast vampire so he drank that potion to make his blood acidic/poisonous to her.
Bruxa are not invincible but very tough. Interestingly they're immune to sunlight, like Alps, mulas and higher vampires.
Now the Unseen elder is truly invincible. Geralt is instantly defeated if he tries to fight him.
This potion is Dark Blood

It's cool too that they added this feature in the game. If a bruxa or alp bites you it instantly damages them
Cd Projekt Red did such an amazing job of having every little detail of the trailers tied back to the game to fill out exposition and lore.
. . . and elements of gameplay: swords, potions, bombs, signs (that is, magic), and crossbow all in use here. It's almost a how-to guide to in-game combat.
Do play it. I did, and I'm a grandmother. It's much more fun than TV.

When this first trailer came out we had no context for this scene and we don't meet her in the game until after the last expansion pack comes out and we did not know what that would be about yet and had no idea who she was when the trailer came out, and if you play the mission in a certain way Geralt tells her will be back for her.
Love the game. I highly recommend it.

The graphics in the gameplay are almost as great as in this trailer. Definitely worth checking it out because of the story alone, but the graphics are the icing on the cake!
Okay that about the graphic is a little far fetched. Don't get me wrong it's great, but not almost as great as in this trailer.

Everything he does in the trailer, you can do in the game: the grenade, the concoction he drinks that burns her when she bites him, the swordplay, the force field that protects him, the force push, the crossbow.
The trailer doesn’t trick you in watching "cool graphics." The trailer actually shows you what you can do in the game.

You two should react to the TV show... It is set YEARS before the games are set. Season 1 covers events from the first few books in the series. Season 2 is due to start soon.

In 2011, CD Projekt RED produced a sequel to the game called The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, while in 2015 the third installment of the series was released, closing the trilogy, entitled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt + 2 DLC (Heart of stone and Blood and wine) .
The Witcher - an American-Polish fantasy television series, created by Lauren S. Hissrich on the basis of Andrzej Sapkowski's books about the witcher Geralt. The eight-episode first series was made available in full on December 20, 2019 on Netflix.

The thing is tho... The Netflix Witcher has almost nothing to do with the story from the books apart from names and locations. It'd be better to just read them cuz the TV series is trash. Henry Cavill does great as Geralt but the rest is just completely garbage compared to the books.
