Took a great deal of fumbling about, but I gradually got this whole puzzle filled in, but the theme totally baffled me, I couldn’t get it AT ALL. Just not a big Rye bread fan, in fact I think I didn’t even realize there were different varieties of Rye.

That theme had me up the wall.
having never heard of DARK SHADOWS the bottom right corner was near impossible for me. this puzzle felt pretty difficult for a tuesday
No shame there. "Dark Shadows" aired on TV in the late 60's early 70's.

Difficult theme for a Tuesday I felt like.
For me getting "sloshes" cleared up "soda." I am in the midwest so "Pop" --> "Soda" came quickly.
Is dander a common phrase? I’ve never heard that before and it slowed me down a lot
