- After a rough morning and a costly mistake, I gathered myself and managed to get together a firewood splitting video for you all.
You'll see the Wolfe Ridge Commercial Log Splitter in action with primarily oak and hickory rounds.

My firewood business is growing and I have goals to sell more than double the firewood in 2023 that I did last year. I'll need to have many more big firewood splitting sessions in order get the seasoned firewood inventory I need to reach my sales goal.
hi there looking good john
Thanks
It happens from time to time. On another note, it looks like your helper was doing well and enjoying himself too..😁👍
He's a good dude. Definitely upped the productivity with a capable helper. He ran the splitter some too and I was able to run off and get more rounds.

The voice over on the video was a nice change
👍👍👍
Did you resolve your auto return working
yes. i had to adjust it several times in the first 4-6 weeks I had the splitter but its been good since then.
@@FlatCreekOutdoors did you turn it in or out and how much.
I don't recall exactly. I tried to follow the instructions in the manual. I think it was too tight and that's why the autoreturn wouldn't kick off.
Sorry that happened. On the plus side, you’ve got way more than $800 in wood split in that pile!
No doubt!
Nice work on the Wolfe Ridge today. Has it gotten better with age and use as I assume you have your process dialed in?
no issues since the first month of ownership with keeping the auto-return working appropriately. It took a few adjustments early on to get it dialed in. No complaints!
Its frustrating when you break something that you just don't plan on replacing. But footage is just as good with a go pro. Keep up the hard work. Second pair of hands always makes things run smoother!!!
On a second thought. You may be able to modify your 3pt carrier so one of the sides folds down. essentially putting the rounds already in a perfect position to load onto the splitter lift. placing the tractor parallel to the splitter.
Thanks for the idea! With two working, we could keep the splitter moving for a couple hours straight.
What kind of camera was it that u broke ? 800 bucks ??
Panasonic FZ1000
@@FlatCreekOutdoors I was looking to get a camera. Which one would be the best for the money. I think making a wood splitting video would be cool
@@walkingtalloutdoors2051 I'm no expert. I like some of the zoom settings and depth of field you can get with the Panasonic bridge camera like the FZ1000. Plenty of guys out there just shoot with their phones and gopro cameras and do a fine job. Its all about finding what works for you.
You had a few issues with the Wolf Ridge at first, now that you have used it for a while, what's your opinion on the Wolf Ridge?
Hate you broke your camera .
