Nice one, Max. I'm loving the field to the table. That pie certainly looked delicious. Old Peculiar, too. Can't be bad. Great video, and thanks for sharing.
Just a tip, butcher everything and freeze raw without cocking first , for a pie , cook the fillings same as a Stu and you will always get good results, I love watching your shows and the content is great, I hope people will learn from watching what your doing 👍 it's really refreshing to see somebody from a younger generation doing what us oldies do ! Cheers😁😁
Looks bangging ,i use to cook pigeon and shallot pies ,fry your brest chunks in butter and then the shallots untill they are sweated off , and make a butter and flour roux and add a sweet red wine, then add the roux to the wine ,let the sauce thicken up and ,in individual foil pie dishes like the size of a chip shop pie add the homemade short crust pastery base ,and fill the pie ,cover the pie with more short crust pastry, add a few holes and wash with milk ,pop in the oven until golden brown ,you can eat them hot or cold or freeze them ,we would go shooting on a Sunday, bag up anything upto 150 pigeon, the butcher would have most of them and i would take home half a dozen, then I would have to brest them that evening and make the pies ready for work the next day ,my work m8s loved them ,but i had to stop after a while as word got round and ppl started to order them ,i never charged for them lol ,like you i love to shoot and cook ,i once had a good shooting and cooking channel 20 years ago but i was getting anti hunters getting my video's banned, so i stopped filming
Many many times! It will be something I do in the future for sure. They just aren't that much of a problem on this particular farm. Cheers for the comments and watching the film 👍❤️
Looks amazing buddy .iv made a few game pies over the years. I might get the rifle out and have a go after watching this olways tastes the best if you have hunted the game your self .great video 👍
Max i have just fell in to your channel by accident and i have just subscribed 👍don’t try and get any more professional and namby pamby. What i have seen is enough to keep me watching and sharing with my shooter friends. Straight talk and no frills cooking just how I like it. Enough crap from me im away to watch some of your videos 👍
Mate I love your videos, I’ve been watching Bushcraft , fishing, camping videos for years and as soon as they get sponsored it’s all lingering video shots on brands and adverts: keep it real brother ,you’re doing a great job and real out doors people will love your videos !!
Yeh fuck all that shit mate! I don't mind reviewing ABIT of kit here and there but Im not having some shit RuneScape advert on my video. Sod that. Thanks for watching mate super appreciated the comments 😁
What a stunning pie!! Made me feel really hungry. Noticed you didnt seem to be sharing, phonecall would've been nice. Reminded me of a traditional 'Raised Game Pie', I've never tried it myself. Since you asked for advice/comments: You could try pre-baking the base and sides lightly, before adding cool contents and lid, which might help the slice to come out in one piece. If you wanted to make a game pie for cold slicing, you could just use the meat filling, then funnel a gelatine stock liquid through a hole in the top, again never tried this myself, but I want to now 😂. Looking forward to your next video x
Haha that would be a four hour film but if you promise you will watch it then il make it! 😂 glad you liked the video and thank you for leaving a comment mate. Really does help
Really like your videos Max. Gosh but you’re lucky being able to get venison/boar sausages. I can’t find anyone selling venison sausages these days, it’s such a shame.
@@DannyBaron-h3t they are meant to be accurate as a MF. Check the obv first. Scope mounts!!!! Such a bugger sometimes, make sure all screw are tight and the scope is mounted properly. Next make sure you're shooting a decent pellet, some guns don't like certain pellet, what ammo are you shooting btw? Next take the silencer off and try with out it just incase a loose baffle or something else (seen that loads of times) if none of those resolves it you know something in the gun is playing up but that should only end in a variations of elevation not side to side accuracy. Holy this helps!
@@MAXIMOUTDOORS very helpful mate thank you! I'm going to get some new scope mounts and switch the scope for one off my break barrel. I'm using Bisley magnums as I am in .177 and wanted a heavier hunting pellet
So good that I might have to get an air rifle and put in an assault on the rabbits on my land. Cooking tips: Apples go well in game pies. My wife never uses lids, but I always do, even for a fried egg. Lids save gas, a steamed-up kitchen, and the cleaning-up is easier. Can't improve on Old Peculier though. 🙂👍

I pretty much use the same ingredients, but I had oxtail soup and reduce it down. You should really try this.

Where is your coat from? I quite fancy one for myself
Ridgeline monsoon jacket. I bought mine from New forest clothing mate
We need more videos like this to show where food actually comes from, not plastic wrapped from supermarkets.
Ah mate, if I could change something it would be the realisation that people need to know things die to eat meat.
Veggies need to realise, they kill pests to keep their vegetables in one piece too@@MAXIMOUTDOORS
