I have my first ever sequenced job going now and, while waiting, discovered your video and picked up a few tid-bits for next time. Mine are in different process to test different infills.
Dear, I can ask you how I have to set up the "scripts" to be able to have breaks between the various parts of the sequential printing so as to make a color change ? thank you. PS Too bad that version 5.0 cannot print the single surfaces of the Lab Print planes, I hope this bug will be resolved soon
Is there a software limit to how tall objects you can do sequential printing for? Because if the object is too tall then there will be a collision with the printer when it starts to print object #2, won’t it?
Yes, when you select sequential printing you need to nominate the vertical clearance height for your models. It should be automated but as with V4 you need to know how high the highest model is and manually set it.
I've tried all those different slicers and always come back to S3D. S3D 5.0 gets a bad rep because it doesn't have all the visible bells and whistles you have to go though in order to get a sliced file. If I want to tinker I play with CURA or PrusaSlicer. If I want the print job done I use S3D.
Overall, what is your opinion on S3D v5? Worth my $60 to upgrade? I've always liked my v4 but so many other free slicers have surpassed it in improvements for free.
For me it has been worth it. I had so many things dialed in with v4 and a workflow that I had not been able to mimic in Prusa. I was getting there but if something was not working I'd go back to v4 to get it done. For me, v5 now has the 3D infill I went to Prusa for. I'm back to S3D full time again now. My only gripe is the layout of multiple parts is still rubbish compared to Prusa but I don't do a lot of that so it is less of an issue for me.
I still use simplify 3D and this particular upgrade is a instant buy for me.

I sliced and printed a spitfire from them with no issues using S3D v4 a few years ago. It was perfect.
@@ozitarget The problem is with version 5.0 .... it no longer works correctly for this type of printing, it is necessary to correct the bug
Great work! Will you be doing more tutorials on S3D v5? I just installed it and not all of the new features are obvious.
Sure, I'll see what else I find..

@@ozitarget Thanks for your feedback! I love S3D. I'm just grumbling about paying more money for it.
