This was soooo helpful! I was able to complete this with my husband, but did a lot of it myself (girls be encouraged). The only note is you should roll your car window down before you start all his steps. That way you don’t come to the point where he is telling you to roll your window down, but you already unplugged the connection and would have to reconnect to do this step.
Thank you so much for this!! I followed your video step by step and I was able to do it all by myself in a few hours. As someone else said, be sure to roll down the window before disconnecting the power cables, otherwise you have to reconnect and roll it down. Otherwise, all good!
Thank you for the video. It worked for the driver door as well. It took me about three hours since I got stuck in the window part, but you did not leave out any detail so thank you!
Thank you Sir!!!!!! I really appreciate your time and video. Got one being a pain. This video was straight to the point and informative. Good luck in future!
Awesome instructions. The only thing that slipped me up was that the window got off track. If that didn't happen would have gotten it done in under two hours. 2 hours 30 mins total. Saved a boat load at the dealership. I'm wondering if this sensor was draining the battery.
either our car alarm would go off randomly because it thought someone was trying to open the door, or the car would never fully turn off. Such an annoying thing I hope they've fixed in future cars
I have loosened the two screws through the two holes in the door panel that hold the window in place, but I am having problems now raising the window up manually by hand so I can tape it in the up position. The left one seems to secure a nylon piece that attaches to a rubber piece that attaches to the glass. I obviously don't want to break the glass. by prying on it ... I will keep messing with it to see if I can figure out the magic to release it. It is always something...
I figured out that the left hand screw/bolt had to be loosened enough to disengage from the rubber window attachment piece, which has a threaded brass nut embedded in the rubber piece. Whew...
My front passenger door closes and locks but the lock will open by itself and the sensor will detect the door is open even while the door is locked and shut. Is this still warranting the replacement or cleaning up the latch??? I saw a previous video where the fix was to loosen the latch partially and spray with brake cleaner and activate the latch with a screw driver to remove the gunk, spray with Blast silicone, and re-tighten the latch screws. I'll try that first: ua-cam.com/video/86V0D1MrgoY/v-deo.html

Great video! Having the same issue with my driver side front and rear passenger door. Question, would these bad latch assemblies also drain the battery after a day or so if the vehicle is left to sit?
I had thos problem on the passager side for almost 2 yrs(its expensive to fix and im paycheck to paycheck) and it did end up killing my battery pretty regularly. Just had the driver side go today T.T

Thank you for your video. My husband will be replacing mine today and this is the first step by step video I could find.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make such a detailed video of this process. It helped tremendously when I replaced my door latch.

My 2013 doors have both been messing up!! Drivers door will not shut. Is/has there been a Safety Recall?
In same boat driver side door ajar warning stays on even if it is locked and alarm keeps going off
I called Hyundai when my first one went bad and they told me they had never heard of a problem. Now the second one went bad!
I literally have to use a flat screwdriver to push the swing lock actuator (on side of door) so the door will shut!!
